Ranking Free Agents......

Post by Crazy Like a Fox » Thu Apr 15, 2010 5:05 am

It would be MUCH more beneficial to have free agents ranked (based on current 2010 stats) as opposed to alphabetical order.

And somebody already mentioned having MI, CI designations.

I like the new improvements.

bump....This is a pretty big deal. It's pretty standard to have free agents ranked according to statistics. About to go into the 3rd week of the season and still not fixed.

It is true, Craze, that it starts out alphabetically, but for my part it does not matter (someone elses rankings based on stats or alphabet). I generally resort anyway for what I am looking for.

Just my two cents.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Just my two cents. I agree with you that we shouldn't rely on someone else's "ranking" but it's an easy feature that should be there. That's all. In reality, it favors those who do the research. Hell, we can make it even harder and not even list stats for free agents. Next, we'll exclude the person's name, we'll just list his college, first occupation, and first born and then the real hardcore resarchers can have an advantage in free agency plucking ;)

Hey Crazy: Good New:

The Astros confirmed Friday that Lance Berkman (knee) would play for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday and Sunday.

If Berkman is happy with his swing at the end of two days, one imagines that he'll be activated right away.
