Cruz isn't a surprise. He won't keep up his current pace but there's no reason to think he won't hit 35 or 40 homers.

Palanco is making some people what they are today, fantasy gods. But wait until next month. I do think he can sustain an average over .300, though. I just wouldn't start counting up those 25 homers yet or any other Ted Williams type stats.

Wells is a surprise because he has the talent to keep it up even though no one saw it coming. Whether it happens, we'll see.

Best hitter, Ryan Braun. He's the only OF I considered in the early rounds. I love watching him hit, especially in BP.

Carlos Gonzalez has looked the most impressive to me. Everything is a line shot including outs and hrs.

[/QUOTE]I can see a fade, sure. I can see him losing it tomorrow and never getting it back. I can see him on the DL for most of the year. That's why I said, "we'll see." As his paycheck proves, though, he's a talented player so a big comeback could be here and I am surprised by that, as opposed to Polanco, where it just seems anomalous due to the small sample.

You are the second person, but I don't get the Braun pick. This thread was about the biggest surprise. If you didn't expect him to hit well, what did you pick him for?
