With regards to Young, I think Greg has to abide by the 7:00am rule. There's no rule about players NOT being in the free agent pool by 7:00am (a la Mickolio), but there IS a specific rule regarding players added to the pool after that time.
This is a mess anyway you slice it, and I feel sorry for those who were affected. Most of all, I feel bad for Greg, who is once again at the mercy of an imperfect system.
I've become the janitor here lately, picking up the spills.
Jaso's position eligibility would have had to have been addressed today if not addressed yesterday. He is catcher eligible and would have had to be ruled that way today. There is nothing in the rules that says the position eligibility has to be corrected at a certain time. And pulling him out of free agency that late would have been worse. People were bidding on him to be a catcher and that's what his eligibility was under our rules.
Fanball has admitted that EYJ did get admitted to the pool after 7 am ET and we are addressing each pickup individually now. This can't happen under our rules. I have been told that the system was set up with our rules in mind but he was added anyway. That has been corrected and won't happen again.
Now I have to see how many leagues this affected and deal with it individually. The rules have to be enforced here. That's my job to abide by the rules and enforce them.
So what was the call because EYJ was picked up in Satellite 125 Top 3 3/14/10 #6. Will this stand or be reversed?

EYJr was added in Classic Online League 1, weekend 2 on 04/25/2010. He was not released previously so assuming he was not drafted. I was border-line on just not ever posting again...but have to for this. How was he in the pool even though he had yet to play, while Mickilio was not and did play? Why am I even bothering to write this?

Greg, Tom, please look into these two examples.
It would be unfortunate if he was pulled off of my team and those of a few others while left on some other teams with the same conditions.
If one of these two examples are proven accurate, I would suggest that all EY bids be reexamined to make sure no "illegal" moves were missed. I hate that word, we should use the word "mistaken" instead.
Again, the main issue I have always stressed is consistency.
Thank you,
Glenn

In the March 14th satellite league, Young was dropped on April 4th so he was eligible to be picked up. In the Classic Online League 1, Young was drafted.

Enjoyed your games a lot my first go around last year, which is why I thought I was okay to post on the NFFC/NFBC boards. Will likely be one of your better clients again this year. Never had played fantasy baseball before this year and being a first timer I didn't want to play too many teams.

Another SB for YOUNG.
MUST GET IF YOU NEED SPEED OUT OF MI POSITION. HE IS SOLID GOLD HITTING LEADOFF IN COLORADO. COULD WIN YOUR LEAGUE FOR YOU.
Someone in my main event bid over $400 for him last week, but since it was an illegal pickup, he got thrown back into the faab pool. IMAGINE THAT FEELING. LOSING OUT ON THE faab PICKUP of the year!!
over/under on YOUNG in my league this week is $500!!!
JUST LOOK AT HIS STATS SO FAR. MONEY

You're too funny.
Absolutely he has value when leading off.
The only question is how long is he going to lead off. Is he playing because Hawpe is hurt? After all he sat his first two games after being called up. Or is he Colorado's utility guy when Hawpe gets back? We don't know and we won't until Hawpe comes off the DL.
He's a very very nice speculation play who could provide significant speed value if all pans out.
"$500"? "Money"?
Anyone who listens to Mark when it comes to bid amounts deserves what they get.

glenn- you and gordo crack me up. for a guy that doen't look at any stats mark must just "know" that you have a good team and he views you as a threat. and you must have posted 5000 times about roberts and needing speed. the ying and the yang. just fyi for bidding purposes- smoaks major league b.a. is lower that chris davis. chris davis is tearing up 3a. this just in- 3A is not the major leagues. speed, on the other hand, seems to transfer pretty well- if you can get on base.

If you watch the Wall Street Journal video closely, I think you can even see Tom mouth the words...."Wow, what a crap league!!"
