Nelson Cruz and Brett Anderson on the DL

The Rangers have placed Nelson Cruz on the 15-day DL with a strained right hamstring, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Also just read that the A's have placed Brett Anderson on the 15-day DL with a medial forearm strain and elbow irritation.

I'm betting he will be making a visit to Dr. Andrews soon.

Bad news for Anderson owners to say the least...

Matt...bad news for us De La Rosa owners here as well----he could be out for 2 months or more with a torn flexor.

yeah but remember if you need to find a catcher make sure to search the "utility" rather the "C" ...might find a gem

Luckily he isn't on any of my NFBC teams although I was targeting him....

Add Justin Morneau to the list....he left today's game with back stiffness. Wasn't his back part of the reason he fell into the third round this year? Are we looking at a Brian Roberts situation here?

What a year for injuries....this season is starting to resemble fantasy football more and more each day. It's a war of attrition. The winner will be the team that can avoid or compensate for injuries the best.

Glenn Having Trevor Hoffman is worse than losing 3-4 players, because you can't sit him.

And, of course, 15 minutes after the 1st game started today...Madson goes on the DL with a broken toe. Just in time for me to be unable to get him out of my lineup.
