Lidge is done and the Phils have bought into the stupid meme that "Madson can't close" (plus he's out at least a month). Somewhat speculative, but I've heard from people in the know that Lidge's leash is short and Contreras is next in line. There's a 100% chance that Lidge fails. He's throwing 88 MPH tops with zero command.

Manager Ron Gardenhire said that Joe Mauer should be considered week-to-week rather than day-to-day with his bruised heel.
Week-to-week thats a new one.
Anyways I'm betting he ends up on the DL this week.
The Mauer & Suzuki injuries create a quandary for their owners in a lot of leagues. In leagues where there's no viable catcher available in free agency ie. Buck, does the owner pay valuable FAAB dollars on another catcher who will likely provide negative value? Or does he sit tight and wait for Mauer or Suzuki to come back? BA vs. limited counting stats....
Its a question I'm personally facing in three leagues where I have Mauer rostered and looking at pretty unappealing options.
Glenn
Olivo was avaible last week in the SCL so i put about 60 on him but i wasnt even the runner up bid as he went over 200.I still cant believe im the moron who cut him the week before i still cant believe it, DAMN IT.
Thanks Eddie.... I need all the help I can get, my team sux in that league! I did not project well back in January.
