Here is the first overall team as of today:
Snyder
McCann
Konerko
Weeks
Uribe
Tulowitzki
Uggla
N. Johnson
Teahen
Willingham
Ethier
Cargo
Borbon
Vladdy
Hallady
Carpenter
Dempster
Contreras
Zito
Gorzellany
Masterson
Rauch
Nunez
Bench:
Pudge
Hairston
McCutchen
Blanton
Gio
Uehara
Hellickson Thanks man. Who needs Pujols or Arod or Hanley when you have Konerko?
Still cannot see any lineups except for my league's. This doesn't appear to be a Mac or browser issue as a few owners seem to have the same problem. I hope they do something about this.

It's interesting to see the overall standings today as we start Week 7 in the NFBC. Gekko and Kenny Norred are 1-2 -- Message Board adversaries if I've ever seen 'em.
Kent Stermon is fourth, which adds to that MB wildness. Josh Honeycutt is third overall as a relatively new member to the NFBC as he drafted in St. Louis the first weekend. In fact, we have six teams in the Top 20 from that first weekend of drafting.
Kudos to Andy Robinson, an NFBC Charter Member, who has teams fifth and sixth overall. I don't mean to jinx Andy, but as anyone who has drafted in Las Vegas these last seven years knows, Andy is as passionate about baseball as they come. He's had limited success in the past but just loves the competition and the camaraderie. Everywhere I looked at the Bellagio, there was Andy sitting in the hall reviewing his Cheat Sheets. I'm glad to see the hard work pay off for Andy this year as he's had the most success of the 30+ owners who drafted both weekends.
I see a lot of veteran names in the Top 20, that's for sure. Glenn Lowy, Quahogs, Rich Verost, Jason Steeves, Bob Mazur, Tom Z., Winston Sapigao. And a good mix of new names, too. Great job all and best of luck to everyone the rest of the way.

Congrats to Josh Honeycutt, who took over the NFBC main event lead today. Mark Srebro has held the top spot for the last 3+ weeks, but Josh has moved into the lead as of today. Josh is a first-time NFBC player who joined us in St. Louis the first weekend and competed in the main event and the Live Double Play. I trust he's enjoying his first season in the NFBC and we congratulate him on a great start. Good luck the rest of the way to all main event participants.

Kudos to Michael Sonday of Chicago League 2 as he jumped three spots last night to take the overall lead in the NFBC Main Event. Josh Honeycutt had been in first place since May 19th, but Michael grabbed his first-ever lead today. This is the first year for the St. Paul, Minnesota native in the NFBC, having played in Fanball events in the past. Welcome aboard Michael and keep up the good work. You and Josh are more than holding your own in the tough NFBC for first-year members. Good luck all.

Being first timers, I wonder if Michael & Josh realize how truly impressive their starts are in an extremely competitive contest.
Good luck the rest of the year guys....great job so far.

It's no fluke that the leader-boards are populated with veterans. With that said no first timer would put up this kind of money without thinking they had a chance. I'm one of those first timers, I never thought it would be this tough. I've made so many dumb mistakes it's ridiculous. I appreciate the veterans that give input without trying to intimidate, you are one of them Glen. Thanks.

it's easy to 2nd guess ourselves, but if anyone had a crystal ball that was correct 100% of the time, they'd win every year.
keep on plugging and just hope to get more of your picks right than your competitors.

One of the great things about this contest is that it's populated with a ton of people a helluva lot better at this than I am willing to lend a helping hand or word of advice. It's a great community.
As far as your team goes, don't sweat the mistakes or a slow start. Bobby Jurney pulled off a 2nd to last all the way to 1st overall two years ago. From personal experience, I went from bottom 10 around this time last year to top 20 by the end of August before fading some at the end. It's a long season and there's plenty of games to be played yet. Keep plugging away and you never know what can happen.

It's interesting to note that today the top three teams in the NFBC Main Event are all first-time owners in the NFBC. Michael Sonday, Josh Honeycutt and Jeff Butler are all new to the NFBC Main and they are 1-2-3 overall. This is what makes the NFBC so tough as each year we get solid new owners to the event. Congrats to each of you and good luck to everyone the rest of the way.

It's also interesting to note that among the Top 10 overall are two teams from two of the same leagues. Jeff Butler and Laurence Curtis are No. 3 and No. 6 overall, having drafted in Online League 1, and Andy Robinson and Ken Norred are 8th and 9th overall from LV 1 of the first weekend. LV7 also has Kevin Schiller and Chris Plouffe 14th and 16th overall. There are a lot of tight league races right now and a lot will happen over these last 17+ weeks of the season. Good luck to all.

I don't want to jinx any owner, but keep an eye on those Quahogs, who have steadily moved up in the NFBC main event and are now second overall. Steve Jupinka is our NFBC Lifetime Standings leader and his main event team is on a roll right now. Not only that, but Quahogs is also second overall in the Auction Championship, having moved up 10 spots just this week. WOW!! Great job Steve and good luck to you and all competitors going forward.

Well, I didn't jinx him after all. Stephen Jupinka has taken over the lead in the NFBC's Main Event as he becomes our newest leader thus far. A lot of first-year owners have held the lead for a bit this year, but our Lifetime Standings leader has steadily been moving up the charts and now Mr. Quahogs is holding onto first place. Great job Steve.
Steve also has his Quahogs team in third place in the Auction Championship as that team moved up nine spots this week.
Should be a fun, fun race over these last 3+ months. We're not even at the halfway point and already it's been a wild time. Good luck all.

Nice going Steve, I'm happy to have contributed a small part by dumping Angel Pagan for you to pick-up ... but he's got to turn back into a pumpkin at some point, doesn't he?
Looked over your team. Pitching stats are ridiculous. Ubaldo and Cain are having great seasons ... but Colby Lewis, Jason Vargas, Trevor Cahill and Jonathon Niese have combined for 175 IP with 2.78-1.01 ratios for you. A season's worth of a top 5 pitcher ... that's some incredible rotation management.
Meanwhile 2nd round pick Matt Holliday has been only your 6th best starting OF - after N Cruz, Rios, Pagan, Rasmus and Podsednik.
I'm still trying to claw my way back into contention with you in this league, but if i can't, good luck league taking down the overall.

Quite impressive. It even appears he even had Padilla in the lineup on day one. Just proves one start or one week can't kill a season.
Great Team.
