I'm probably confused here, but why does it appear that Derek Holland was added to the player pool for one of my leagues on May 8th? If I bid on him, am I going to have him removed after the fact like I did with Eric Young in two leagues? Did Holland already get added to the Rangers major league roster?

Forgive me if you know these things already:

1) Was he drafted and dropped? Check your draft and waiver drops.

2) Was he pulled up yesterday? I missed the news if he was.

Here are the official MLB Transactions so far this weekend:

Milwaukee Brewers placed RHP LaTroy Hawkins on the 15-Day disabled list retroactive to May 7, 2010. Weakness in his right shoulder.

Brian Anderson assigned to San Jose Giants from San Francisco Giants.

Washington Nationals optioned Matt Chico to Harrisburg Senators.

Washington Nationals called up Doug Slaten from Syracuse Chiefs.

Milwaukee Brewers recalled Mitch Stetter from Nashville Sounds.

05/08/10 Los Angeles Dodgers activated LF Manny Ramirez from the 15-Day disabled list.

Chicago Cubs activated RHP Esmailin Caridad from the 15-Day disabled list.

Los Angeles Angels placed 2B Maicer Izturis on the 15-Day disabled list retroactive to May 6, 2010. Sore right shoulder.

Arizona Diamondbacks activated LF Conor Jackson from the 15-Day disabled list.

New York Yankees placed 1B Nick Johnson on the 15-Day disabled list. Inflamed tendon in his right wrist.

Los Angeles Dodgers optioned Xavier Paul to Albuquerque Isotopes.

Washington Nationals optioned Justin Maxwell to Syracuse Chiefs.

Houston Astros optioned Chris Johnson to Round Rock Express.

Arizona Diamondbacks optioned Gerardo Parra to Reno Aces.

Chicago Cubs optioned Jeff Gray to Iowa Cubs.

Los Angeles Angels recalled Kevin Frandsen from Salt Lake Bees.

New York Yankees recalled Kevin Russo from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Washington Nationals recalled Matt Chico from Harrisburg Senators.

Good catch Waiverwire.

There is no mention of Derek Holland. He was not drafted in my league. Yet, he is available to be bid on. There is still a disconnect how players are added to the waiver pool.

Can we please get a ruling on this and have it addressed early?

I would not be happy to have players pulled off my team again.

Even if there is a ruling on Derek Holland, there needs to be a fundamental review of how players are continuing to be added to the pool. Who knows who also is not eligible and yet sits in the waiver pool at this moment?

There needs to be a link for "players added" to the pool with the MLB transaction date next to it. Is that what the "Recent Activations" link on Transactions is supposed to do? We cannot continue to have these kind of problems week after week.

If he wasn't added to the MLB roster before 7 am ET today, he shouldn't be in the player pool. If he had been drafted in your league and later cut, he would have been in your player pool all week long.
EY2 was added that Sunday as part of an editorial feed. That was fixed. So if someone is saying that Holland was added on May 8th when he hasn't been called up yet, then I need to see why the player feed would include him.

I did find Holland in a league that did not draft him. I do not see any mention of Holland being called up. I have alerted IT immediately about this and he will be pulled from all leagues he was not drafted in. His link says he was owned in 30% of all NFBC leagues.

if he's on the player feed, i'm going to contact MLB directly and find out why. him coupled with EY2 makes it awful suspicious that it was FANBALL'S FAULT AGAIN. i will wait to hear back from you.

He is going to be pulled from all player pools he shouldn't be in ASAP and not allowed to be picked up. I also do not see him being added to the Rangers' roster and have no idea why he would be added to last night's player pool. It looks like he was an original pickup in 30% of all leagues -- at least according to the % Owned data -- so check your leagues first. But yes, here we are again correcting this Sunday addition. MLB.com does not have Holland being called up. I'm checking to see why he would be added to the player pool during last night's feed. But first I need to make sure all FAAB pools have it accurate. He can't be picked up if he wasn't an original pickup who was later cut.
He is being pulled Glenn. Every one. Not allowed to be bid on. Won't be allowed to be processed. I'm spending Mother's Day trying to get this fixed. Don't bid on him. He's not going through. I can't make it clear enough with a whole family hollering at me. This has to be done. Sorry again.

Hooland got a blip on rotoworld yesterday about being earmarked to get called up, and what do you know, HOLLAND'S BEEN ADDED TO THE FAAB POOL.

i'll wait for greg to post the reason WHY this happened AND if there are other players that were illegally added to the faab pool before commenting further.

Geoff/Greg,

Gekko raises a meaningful tangent in that both Holland and EY2 were both mentioned on Rotoworld on a Saturday night concerning their upcoming promotion to the big leagues in the coming days.

It appears to me that this may not be just a coincidence; it may be something to look at further.
