As an NFBC newbie, so much of this is unreadable. Is this the norm? Once the storm passes, life should get back to normal over here.
Here's a chat from February that will give you a better feel for the information you find on these boards from time to time:

Who wants to post on these boards when the potential for being personally attacked is there on a constant basis? I mean, it was funny in 2002 before the WCOFF ran that off their boards and it was funny in 2004 when he did it and then won the $100,000 grand prize in football, but haven't we all matured by now? Isn't it time to move past the personal name calling of your opponents, especially when you're first overall in the contest? Did you ever see Terry Haney or Bobby Jurney or Artie Rastelli do that? No, they are classier than that.
I'd hate to think that I've run off RT or Dan or Quahogs or King of Queens or anyone else off the boards because of our early season struggles. Many of my top guys asked me to promise them we'd get this right and save them time if they took multiple teams. I've taken heat and lost friendships over the early problems, but we've contintued to move forward and improve the site. Yes, we have more to do and I hear every suggestion. But we are doing our best and not giving up.
This is your playground, so everyone can play or some can play or nobody can play. Heck, there's another contest where nobody posts. No bad. No good. No nothing. I need me some of that stuff.
Take the money and never monitor the boards. Sounds like a job I can handle.
But we're better than that here. We want informative and entertaining content on the boards before the season -- well before the season -- and we want it during the season. We want it from folks when they are winning and even when they are struggling. Look at Wayne Edwards, always analyzing his team through good or bad and always trying to help others through his mistakes or good picks. That's what we've always had here and hopefully those who Mark is calling out as leaving because of me won't take the bait. He said it with pride, like the people he talked to left the boards because they can't take it anymore. If that's true, I apologize. Hopefully they are using the extra time to improve their teams and they will return in time.
Come back when you like the NFBC again. In the meantime, we'll keep improving the game for you. Greg,
I don't care what any of the past champions have done. You can call me the least classy of the bunch all you want. I've been my own person from the start and have questioned you when you've bent the rules or have broken them, and I will continue to do that. Nothing is going to change there.
And you are free to believe me or not about WHY people have left the boards. Only 1 thing has changed from last year to this year. Fanball.
And no, I don't say it with pride. I say it with frustration. You even said yourself that you lost friendships because of the Fanball problems. There is frustration all the way around.

You are your own person and you only care about yourself. That's your problem. Everyone else be damned, whether it's a situation over Jack Cust or John Ely. You could care less who you hurt in your path when you're focused on something that helps YOU.
Mark, if people have left the BOARDS because they are upset with the game, I can't help that. My job is to improve the GAME so they enjoy their teams this year. Forget about next year. Forget about the freakin' message boards. I'm trying to improve their GAME EXPERIENCE RIGHT NOW. See, you live in the today. You don't see how we are trying to build this site to be better each day and be ours every season after this. We're doing this to help the NFBC survive this year and past this year. Look at the industry today and you see some sites struggling to find a draft software provider or a back-end provider THAT THEY CAN PAY TO USE. We own this. Everyone is making suggestions to IMPROVE OUR NEW NFBC SITE. That's the goal.
If those other folks don't return because they hated this year, I'll apologize. But the site is going to improve the experience for all of you and save you folks time each Sunday with the new enhancements and hopefully the game experience is getting better. Yes, I've lost friends over what happened during the first two weeks, but honestly how much of a friend were they if they could turn on me that quickly? Not much of one, that's for freakin' sure. I'll survive just fine and remember I took the bullets for others' mistakes and still did so professionally. I'm not sure every customer treated me the same way.
If your frustration leads you to go on a public forum and say you were RAPED by me, then you need help buddy. Go get it. NOBODY else in their sane mind would have posted how you did yesterday.
Now move on from this. Enough said.

when it comes to fantasy baseball i only care about doing the best i can. give me the rules and i'll be fine. when you bend, break, and change rules without telling anyone, i (and others) have a problem with it. stop doing those things and we won't have any problems moving forward.
and of course i didn't mean you actually raped me, come on. like you chose to do with your free agent rule, let me clarify my use of the word...figuratively speaking, i (and others) did not consent to the stuff we had to put up with so far from fanball. WE RAISED ALARMS IN THE OFFSEASON BUT YOU CONTINUALLY POSTED THAT THINGS WOULD BE OKAY.
as for me needing help. please. when i found out you and king of queens had a shouting match this week, i thought to myself good, finally glenn called you out. for those of you who don't know glenn, he is a great gamer and one of the coolest under pressure customers that i've ever met. for him to be shouting at you says a lot to me.
good luck moving forward.

good luck moving forward. Debating with you is a waste of time, but what the hell.
Bend, break or change the rules?? You're saying that about me?? The Player Pool has been consistently adhered to all year long. We stuck to the rules in every instance even with things happening out of my control. Shut up on this point please.
You didn't consent to stuff you've had to put up with so far?? Yeah, me either, but you make this work. I was told we had the game engine, the conditional bids, everything we asked for covered and I did see much of it. Again, some folks burned bridges with me over the things that happened the first few days. Others tried to ride out the storm. You were ready to burn down the house. We all react differently. Maybe the alternatives are better if we crash and burn; maybe not.
Glenn called me out?? What in the hell are you talking about? Glenn and I had a good "talk" and he made his points crystal clear. So did I. I didn't rape him and he didn't rape me. Glenn is the biggest stickler of rules, so I respected his call and everything he had to say. And now that he sees how consistently we've adhered to this rule, I'm sure he's mad we didn't publicize this better but at least now he knows how this is being handled consistenly. Nobody skirted any rules and in fact our setup is better than we had before when mid-week bids could be cancelled out. Glenn and I are cool, unless he says otherwise.
We are moving forward, believe it or not.

I can certainly go tit for tat and dispute what you've just said, but I don't want this to escalate any more than it already has. We both have better things to do with our time. You be the best commish you can be, and I'll be the best player I can be. Good luck.

so the only thing that is a lock here is that u don't know the swings that can and will happen.

Here is a few things he can do with the 100k:
1. Night out on the town with Cindy
2. Buy cases upon cases of Mace (so he doesn't get raped again)
3. Retain a nanny so he doesn't have to keep saying he is on baby duty
4. Attend "The Etiquette School of New York"............................... PRICELESS

The only locks this year are:
1) Gekko has cheated this year
2) Gekko has no respect for authorities

so many people have said to move on, yet you continue to live in the past. something that happened in week 1. as others have said, for the betterment of the MB, let it go.

[qb] Greg,
I don't care what any of the past champions have done.
Okay, you're definitely the least classy of the bunch. That was easy.
God Bless Greg Ambrosius!!! Finally someone has called out this guy from the NFBC organization. The only thing running people away from the boards are his posts. They're constant and un-relentless. Doesn't matter when or how often you visit.I realize I've crossed the line a time or two, but come on. He started the year off despicably and tells everyone to get over it it's all been said. BS, integrity is the core of life and he has none. Just can't understand why it took so long. Even in defending yourself and the organization you take the high road. Many of us wish someone had taken a much lower road long ago.
I'm a big fan of the NFBC and everything their doing in the name of the game.....
HAPPY 50TH GREG, YOU SENT THE 40'S OUT WITH CLASS.

Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Isaiah 63:1
