Consider this post to be nothing more then a rant to the fantasy gods.....because the wife doesn't listen and the couch doesn't care.

Eric Young- for the love of God I am starting to hate the Rockies and their stupid lineup decisions. They desperately need a leadoff hitter with speed and current 2b is their 8th hitter who could swap positions with the batboy and no one would notice other then the 1 game a week he hits a double. After starting 5 games his first week after callup Young proceeds to steal 4 bags and score 5 runs while hitting over .300. That seems like an eternity ago- because somehow between now and then they are missing the two best hitters from their lineup and Jim "Dick" Tracy last night decides to add the likes of Melvin Mora to the lineup as a 2b against a righty no less. The writing is on the wall- apparently Young is heading back down as Barmes is "on fire" with a couple hits in his past 6 games and his first RBIs since the Civil War. Perhaps Tracy likes the "opportunities" Seth Smith provides at leadoff with his 5 career steals in over 200 MLB games and an .OBP currently sitting at a sizzling .295 after last nights 3 hits. Sometimes I just don't get it- maybe they hate Young's defense or something but this is beyond ridiculous. To trot Mora out there last night is absurd- was his grandkids in attendance or something and Tracy wanted him to put on a show for them? Anyway, perhaps Young was being saved tonight for Doc Halladay to go 0-4 so Tracy can send him down for "more seasoning." Anyone else get torched on a FA move lately? As I am writing this I am thinking of "potential cheap saves" add Corpas this week and his nice 4 Ernies he gave up to the Phillies last night. WELCOME TO THE LINEUP MANUEL! Glad I didn't go after him.

Some baseball managers are killers for us Fantasy Managers. LaRussa, Maddon, Tracy and Pinella come to mind. They can't just win- it has to be their way. They must stamp it and show us that they are smarter.
im hoping you are being sarcastic about being "smarter." is there one fantasy manager out there that thought, or still thinks, lou sending zambrano to the bullpen was smart? how about letting big Z take grounders at 3rd last year?

say it aint so.....

It's all about over managing....I still don't understand the lefty / righty specialists. Why is it okay to have starter face both lefty and righty hitters and rp's can't get the job done. Yet there are some relievers that can go an inning and face both lefty and righty's..i.e. Chamberlain. When we played ball if you could pitch ...you could pitch...that means you could get anyone out... it's just mind-boggling.

back to the thread.. as a new owner of CorpASS id like to nominate him for the Flop Award so far. he replaced that whip whiz.. franklin morales.

I didnt get him, but id like to say the uber costly castro will be on this list. you have to be in an absolute panic over 3 errors in 1 game and 4 in two!!

as a owner of j mathis (dropped), montero, granderson, zambrano, and ja happ im ready to hit some homers with some FA pick ups.... but so far ive been more like mark reynolds.. a swing and a MISS!

Talk about desperation- Castro has no power and does not steal many bases. I rather have Adam Kennedy. At least you know what you are signing up for with Kennedy.

Gekko did an outstanding hype job- Im sure many were selling the silver candle-wear.

In the case of EYJ- I think Tracy got it wrong. This kid can get on base and steal. 3 strong categories...but he is a bust in the minors- I bit on this one three times.

Bad news for Eric Young, Jr. owners:

Eric Young, Jr. apparently has a stress fracture in his leg and will be out indefinitely.
LOL - JaMarcus Russell was a starting QB...didn't make him worthy of a roster spot. In some formats, a team would have been better off taking zeroes than having him.
