Who's Leading the NFBC Diamond League?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Jun 06, 2010 5:03 am

This was the first year that we offered the NFBC Diamond League, a $10,000 entry fee league with a first place prize of $75,000. This league filled up in a matter of days in December when we announced it and it was one of the highest profile leagues we have in 2010, featuring owners who have won more than $700,000 in our contests.

Well, through eight weeks this is shaping up as a really competitive league. I thought it would be fun to take a look at the league standings and follow this one on the message boards from time to time.

David DiDonato, who is the only owner to win two NFBC Ultimate League titles and is our NFBC Money Leader with $200,000 in winnings, currently leads the NFBC Diamond League with 110.5 points. James Stanard was at 109.0 this morning, followed by Rick Thomas with 95.0 points. There are three teams within three points of each other for fourth place: Donn Johnson at 91.0, Chris Schinker at 88.0 and Jim Ferrari at 88.0. Shawn Childs is in seventh with 80.5, having moved up two spots this week.

Nick Cassavetes and Eric Price were leading during the early weeks of the competition, but dropped to 79.0 points and eighth place now. Still, there are 12 teams with 70+ points in this league, so the fight for all money places should be a lot of fun. This will be a fun, fun league to watch through the year. Good luck all and may the best team win.
