Who's Leading the Ultimate and Super Leagues?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Jun 06, 2010 5:30 am

We might as well cruise around some of the other high-level private leagues on this Sunday morning and check out the Ultimate Auction League and the three Super Leagues. Who has a shot at winning $40,000 in the Ultimate or $20,000 in the Supers? Here's a look at those contests after eight weeks:

Ultimate Auction League:

1. Jim Ferrari 121.0

2. David Longood 105.0

3. KJ Duke 99.5

4. Yoni Bornstein 97.0

David and his two boys have won an unprecedented three Ultimate Auction League titles in the last five years, but Jim is giving him a good run for his money this year. There are plenty of teams with 80 or more points, so this should be a good run to the finish. Yoni owes me a beer for the hard work I put in to help him with the team he finished with. ;) You know I drink Corona's Yoni!! :D

Super League 3/21

1. Rick Thomas 116.5

2. Steve Jupinka 101.0

3. Bob Particelli 99.0

4. James Stanard 97.0

RT won the Ultimate League last year and now is in the runningn for a Super League title and a money finish in the Diamond League. Good job. Quahogs looms in his rear view mirror and Bob is having a solid season as a new participant in the NFBC Super. James is also looking for a money finish in the Super and the Diamond League. Good job all.

Super League 3/27

1. Ken Magner/Jim Christie 122.5

2. Brian Ng 111.0

3. Shawn Johnson 107.5

4. David Deterra 99.0

Luny told me he LOVED that team after it was done and his prediction is correct. Sack of Lunatics is off to a good start, but plenty of teams are close by. Deterra is a former Ultimate League champ and Shawn Johnson has also won a Super League title recently. This should be a good run to the finish line.

Super League 3/38

1. Shawn Johnson 102.0

2. Matt Bauler 100.5

3. Glenn Lowy 96.0

4. Matt Ross 95.0

Here's another really good race. Points are spread evenly among all 15 teams and anyone can win this one. Shawn loves these Supers and has a chance to cash in both of these. Good luck to all as this should be another good fight to the finish line.

Anyone have some stories from these leagues? So far so good and good luck to all as the best teams will win the big league prizes in these events.
