Gekko, your point is well taken but your talk is earily in contrast to your day one this season. I must admit I enjoyed reading your point but you need to excuse yourself from that angle. Just sayin...... nah im more worried bout him being available to OTHERS In the league...there are about 5 more teams with more FAAB cash than I and god knows I wouldnt win him...but i defo want to know whats going to happen BEFORE tonights games...
From an email i got last night from Greg it sounded like he WOULDNT be made available...and if its not..all well and good...just a little anxious to see if he gets him back with no recourse

Did get some emails from Greg and Ubaldo will be more than likely returned to the owner with him being moved to reserve for this week.

Although it was only a satellite, they allowed 3+ days before removing Adam Dunn from the FAAB pool after being dropped. The owner even got to use him for the weekend games.
No correspondence to other league owners, or a post to the message board. That was the most disappointing part as we spent alot of time trying to figure out an appropriate bid and still have enough left for the season.

ya, i'm not a fan of the "oh i made a mistake and dropped the wrong player" excuse. too much room for wiseguys to take advantage of the situation IMO

[/QUOTE]Chest, please don't equate this to Greg's situation, no one sympathizes with his situation more than me ( I will not go into it). The NFBC should not rely on one individual at all times. There is a lot of money at stake.
The situation is silly at this point and the lack of response is even worse. The guy should simply lose the player and Ubaldo should not be in the pool, That's if everything is fair and equal. I'm absolutely sure others have mistakenly dropped players they didn't intend to, just not the caliber of this one.
Dangerous precedence on the horizon.

Especially with that less than perfect software over there. Happened several times in football also. Guys, we are not allowing a new precedent in the NFBC. There have been other human mistakes made on cutting players that we have reversed when it was obvious over the last seven years. Heck, as most folks know a few years ago Steve Smith of the Panthers was cut in the NFFC when an owner meant to cut Steve Smith of the Giants. We reversed that because everyone knew which Steve Smith he meant to cut. In another contest, the same thing happened and they would not allow the "do-over." People run contests differently.
We do it because we want each league in a national contest to be won or lost and played out with the top stars without this technical glitch or human error or whatever you want to call it being the difference maker. This is a new software for all of our players and some folks have struggled with the cuts and alerted us. If it's an obvious, obvious error and we are alerted quickly by the owner we do step in and make the right call. Cutting Ubaldo Jimenez -- who is having the greatest start to a season in almost a century -- is an obvious human error. Most would certainly understand that.
The owner shouldn't be rewarded with Jimenez in his lineup this week and he certainly won't be allowed in the FAAB pool even if it wasn't a human error. But again, this is not the first time we've corrected a human error and I'm sure it won't be the last.

That was the most disappointing part as we spent alot of time trying to figure out an appropriate bid and still have enough left for the season. Michael, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the person who accidentally cut Dunn in your league and contacted me after Monday night was too busy ripping me on the Grady Sizemore decision for two straight weeks to realize what he did with his team. Apparently he was too busy ripping me on the radio to realize that he cut Dunn and then asked me to correct the human error. When we did, then you got to rip me. So I'm being blamed by the person who blamed me before for correcting what was an obvious mistake that he said our software did. Everyone gets thrown under the bus except the person who started the mess.
