I picked up Moyer out of the waiver pool this weekend to face the Marlins. A game gets rained out and they couldn't reschedule a doubleheader the next day.
So Moyer gets pushed to face the Red Sox and he gets destroyed tonight. That's one way luck can impact you. I never would have picked him up to start against the Red Sox. What a crappy way to go down.

That sucks for sure... definitely bad luck. I could be wrong, but it seems like the Red Sox have been hitting great lately too.

i don't mind losing because of me, but when i lose because of total luck like this total horse crap it makes me want to say FU to fantasy baseball. this was no reflection on my fantasy skills, yet i'm stuck with taking it up the u know what. if he got crushed against the marlins, i can handle losing that way. simply frustrating as hell.

Yeah how dumb am i i played him in my wcoff main when i could have benched him for a guy that doesnt pitch but NO i get greedy.I also cut Theriot and put in Hairston who goes 0 for 14 and Theriot is having a great week with steals and 4 runs in one game and to top it off i play Encarnarcion over Gabey Sanchez who had a monster game tonight with 2 homers and a ton of rbi's.
I need another glass of wine.

Then again you could have my James Shields line against the Marlins. That was special. At least I had Coghlan.
I had Arroyo and Shields tonight implode. What a mess.

A man becomes preeminent, he's expected to have enthusiasms. Enthusiasms, enthusiasms... What are mine? What draws my admiration? What is that which gives me joy? Baseball! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NRIpmO6FWk

Gekko that situation is really the rare case of very bad luck. As a Phils fan I like Jaime Moyer amd would have figured him to have a bad start against the red hot Red Sox, but not to the tune of 9 ER in one IP. You don't see many lines that bad for a starting pitcher. Bad luck.
