Pitchers ADP next year

Post by rkulaski » Sat Aug 07, 2010 10:32 am

Cliff Lee 2nd rounder?

V Padilla 10th rounder?

Gio Gonzalez 8th rounder?

Colby Lewis 9th rounder?

Liriano 4th rounder?

J Westbrook 15th rounder assuming he stays with the Cards?

J Sanchez 6th rounder?

Just throwing out some random names as many pitchers ADP seems to fluctuate quite a bit from year to year.

Cliff Lee 2nd rounder? High

V Padilla 10th rounder? A little high

Gio Gonzalez 8th rounder? High

Colby Lewis 9th rounder? Okay

Liriano 4th rounder?Okay

J Westbrook 15th rounder assuming he stays with the Cards? High

J Sanchez 6th rounder? Way too high

I think you have to dial back your enthusiasm over 2/3 of a season. Lewis and Liriano won't project at all the same as they did before this season. Sanchez may conceivably project worse.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Yeah I think Sanchez 6th rounder is definitely high. No way I would take him there.

Gio and Padilla have pitched so well lately that I probably have them a little too high as well. After Westbrook's start today, he's definitely heading in the right direction. (until his next start )
