Spartacus knows Gekko's mailman.

The fix is in.

i already have a preliminary draft plan laid out. is it too early for that
There's no way you get your check by Thanksgiving. So why are you wasting your time? I was kind of hoping Greg would kick it under his desk just to test your Walla Walla dead line.
based on what jim said, we could be getting checks well b4 thanksgiving. even greg hinted they could come earlier than expected.

Thanks Greg. I just claimed my winnings and can't wait for that nice check to arrive.

Never believe a word from Jim Christie. His monniker in CDM was Lunatic. There was a reason for that.
"One more point, after claiming my prize, I usually received the check within one week; that was before Fanball took over NFBC; it was QUICK"
Jim - don't forget, your share will need to clear
the bank. Kinda like Quarantine for all the Breeders Cup horses this weekend. By the way, Thursday and still no check from you. You seem like a sideline player this year!

Childs, what are you hanging out on here for? Do you have a check to cash this year?

I should have asked this question before claiming my prizes, but it appears in circumstances where all or part of the prize was advertised as a 'Free Entry', the free entry's cash value was listed. Will the Free Entry's cash value automatically be applied to my Fanbal account or will I receive a check? I think I prefer the former, especially if it's not taxable in 2010.
Dan-I'd be happy to help Gekko with his Postal issues, but I'll need his Zip+4

I know you will be back. I mean really what are your options?
You could spend more quality time with your wife.
Strike one!
Maybe it's time to start working out and get in better shape.
Foul ball - Strike two!
You could always get a mistress. As much fun as it would be, I don't think your heart handle all the ins and outs of the daily grind!
Ball One!
It could be time to write the Walla Walla story. I would imagine that would keep you busy for a baseball season.
Ball Two!
Maybe it's time to take that drive across country. You can get in touch with your inner self.
Ball Three!
You could enter a baseball team in the NFBC and keep you mind occupied for 8 months while you are staring at little planes on the monitor in east bum %uck Washington!
It sounds like a homerun to me!

That was a great post by Jupinka; just wish he would have used a different photo other than the communist/socialist Sean Penn;

I didn't win much money this year (sadly) and since I know my W-9 is on file from previous years I did not think much about these winnings. That said, I'm glad I had some spare time on my hands to read the message board today. I had no idea I needed to find a link and formally ask for my winnings... Different from past years for sure.
That said, I did what I was told to do a few minutes ago. Maybe an e-mail about this new process would be good for those who don't read the boards on a daily basis.
FYI - The acknowledgement message said my check would be mailed in 2-4 weeks.
Best regards,
Pete

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Pete Pete, we sent out an email to all of our NFBC participants when Greg announced what the set up would be and we sent out another email yesterday to let everyone know they could begin claiming prizes. So we did contact all of our customers by email as opposed to just posting it on the boards. Check your spam/junk folders to see if the emails went there by mistake. If you're not receiving our NFBC emails send me an email at and I'll get you added to the list.

Boffo!
Seriously though, Tom, I just sent an e-mail to the 14 others participating in the first NFBC draft and three have responded with "no's" and no "yes's".
Maybe they just sent one to Gekko to appease him
or that e-mail list needs updated.
