[/QUOTE]Mark, I'm not sure you quite get it yet with this comment. Everyone here agrees that we can have debates over player projections, player performance, player values. But what most of us can't understand is why you can't have a professional debate on these subjects. Why must everything be turned into personal attacks and direct shots? Why must YOU take over the conversation. I compare you to SNAKE on our NFFC boards and it's accurate. Your posts are poisonous at times, yet neither of you can see it.
I suppose I should be grateful that you've now decided to poison Ron's BaseballHQ boards instead of ours, but I feel bad for those folks. I can't tell you how many people came up to me last weekend to complain about you. They were talking to me as if I were the one who created this monster because they associate you with the NFBC. I had to tell them I have nothing to do with you and I can't stop the madness. They just hope your subscription runs out there soon.
What you don't get on those boards is those so-called "yes men" are actually called "paying customers." Those folks pay to learn more about baseball and they actually enjoy a friendly debate about baseball on the HQ boards. They also respect Ron's projections and methods. Heck, if you want to debate Ray Murphy about the projections I'm sure he would gladly do that all day long. But when you attack everything they say, I think they'd rather just tune you out. And the funny thing is you like to say that BaseballHQ was part of your success last year, yet you rip them more than any other site.
Question me or Ron or anyone else all you want. We have the answers. But do it professionally going forward. And if you happen to return to our boards after your sabbatical, treat our customers more professionally too. That's not asking too much. We have paying customers here too and they'd love friendly, professional debates on the boards as well.

I could spend a couple hours thinking about rebuttals and posting compliments I've received from the HQ forums (bet Ron didn't tell you about those).
But you know what, it's not worth it. You have a business to run and you will protect it at all costs.
I just want to play fantasy baseball on a solid platform and receive prizes in a timely fashion. When things go wrong or there is a lack of communication, I'll be there to ask questions.
Carry on.

Narrator: It's a couple weeks after the baseball season ended and Greg Ambrosius has been left in charge by GM Ryan Houston
Greg : I wish I knew when checks would actually be going out so I could tell my customers.
Narrator: Gekko unwisely posts on message board
Gekko: Post here when you receive your Fanball checks.
Greg: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!!! Let me tell you something. If you think for one minute you're going to start f**k'n running this event, you may be a f**k'n good fantasy baseball player, but you suck as a leader. If you think you're going to do my f**k'n job, I'll leave right now. Do you think you can do it? You think you can put up with all this bulls**t?
Gekko: No.
Greg: I know you can't. No get the f**k off the boards and DON'T EVER COME ON MY BOARDS AGAIN AND TRY AND TAKE MY F**K'N PLACE!
YOU GOT IT?
Gekko: Yes, Greg
This exchange was even caught on video...
Meltdown
Just having a little fun

Just having a little fun I really don't see that kind of exchange. In 7 years, you sucked enough life out of him to wish you good bye. He spent countless hours putting out fires with you standing on the sidelines fanning the flames. He's given plenty of his life to create a game we love.
Just think, he created a game so you could take home a $100,000 check and another $40,000+ this year. You take every opportunity to kick him in the balls.
You had a great season and you are great fantasy player. In person, you are just like the rest of us. You have passion for the game and best of all, you have your own opinion.
I know I've busted your balls on the boards on countless occasions. Sometimes it's just for the entertainment and others I've thought you were out of line.
I get Fanball had a tough year, but I'm happy someone was willing to stick their neck out and keep the NFBC history alive for us players.

With all the Fanball issues last year, it was very easy for me to lose sight of this. From all indications, 2011 should be vastly from my end.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this thread.I claimed my prize on Tuesday 11/2 and received my check in the mail when I got home on Tuesday night 11/9/10.It was a $750 prize for 2nd place in a $250 Satellite league.Hope everyone else gets their checks soon!!
Thanks Fanball!!!!
Checks came here on Monday with no issues...seemed pretty simple and easy.
Thanks Fanball!!!!

If it's not worth it , don't bother responding. Interesting that's all you got out of Greg's last response. All about protecting his business. ok.
