Who Wants To Compete In The Next Slow Draft?

Post by Winston's Empire » Sat Nov 27, 2010 4:30 pm

I don't mind being part of a Motley Crew at all as long as we get drafting!

Greg if the $375 League doesn't fill by the time leagues start drafting next week, I will take a spot in a $150.00 Slow Draft League if there is one available!

Might as well have a team in all 3 Levels since they all qualify for The SLOW DRAFT CHAMPIONSHIP anyways!

Okay, I have to take today off so we'll nail these leagues tomorrow. Look for an email from Tom today about officially registering for these Slow Draft leagues. We will charge your credit cards before the drafts. We can't just run these and then have someone not pay because they had a bad draft, so unlike our other live events that won't be charged until Feb. 15, the Slow Drafts will be charged before we get started. Please officially sign up online per Tom's instructions and then we'll be good to go.

And if you haven't sent your KDS preferences yet, please do so to [email protected] and I'll run these tomorrow. Everyone will have been notified via email and if I don't have yours by tomorrow morning it will default to 1-15. Thanks all and good luck.

I should have an update on the software shortly. Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!

I need to get a list of the 30 owners in those two leagues from Dan Kenyon and then Tom and I will email everyone directions on how to sign up for those. I'll also need the results from Dan and then we'll figure out how to enter the early results and still get you guys in the software to finish up. I think we can do that here, but I'll check for sure.

So those owners will have to sign up and pay in the next week, but give Tom and myself a little time to get everything from Dan and get emails out to those 30 owners. Then we'll be good to go and get folks into those draft rooms. Thanks all.

Greg, I'll send you the results from the first draft tonight. Rich does a beautiful job of putting together a easy-to-read color coded draft.

When the second draft is complete, we'll do the same with it.

We have a flow going with the second draft and will just keep it a e-mail draft.

Probably better from a logistics standpoint as well.

Probably better from a logistics standpoint as well. Sounds perfect Dan. We'll then find a way to enter both leagues after results are done, but we'll need everyone signed up first to create those leagues. No worries and we have time to get all of this done. Thanks much for running these two Slow Drafts and I'm glad the email version worked.

Greg, Tom,

If the last slot is open in the $375 slow draft is still open, I'll take it. Otherwise sign me up for the third $150 slow draft, please. Thanks.

[/QUOTE]Hey Greg,

Just registered for the upcoming slow drafts I'm in. One question, for the $150 draft, it lists the online draft dates as March. Obviously, this sign-up is for the one upcoming this week, correct? Just wanted to clarify that I registered in the correct place. The $375 draft sign up had no draft date associated with it, so I assume this is the upcoming one as well. Greg should already have my KDS. Thanks in advance for the clarification.

The March 31st date is just a default date that we had to put onto the registration page so people could sign up. You can safely ignore it.

Then when you are in Registration, click on Satellite $150 Draft Champions. It will have a date of March 31st on it, but that's because we needed to have some date with each contest. Just sign up for that, pay via credit card and you'll be good to go. Thanks.

Who Wants To Compete In The Next Slow Draft?

Post by Rainiers » Fri Dec 03, 2010 7:12 am

I'm really looking forward to this draft. For me, it feels like "Gentleman Start Your Engines!".

Since this is my first slow draft, where do we look for the notice of the beginning of it? Will someone email us? Do we check the forums, if so, where? Here?

I got an email back from Fanball saying I was registered for the $375 slow draft, but see nothing on "My Teams" or in "My Account".

After we get started, I assume everything will be self-explanatory...if not, what do I need to know or what do I need do to get started and keep things moving? Do we draft via email or on the web site?

Also, is there anything a first-timer in a slow draft should know regarding the etiquette of drafting in a slow draft?

Thanks in advance, Robert

Robert, yes you'll get an email from us along with the URL of the link to the draft room. Tom is setting up this league and a league link will show up under MY TEAMS once all 15 owners are signed up and then the link to the draft room will appear there. You'll click that and be in the draft room. Each pick will be emailed to you so that you can keep up with the draft results without being tied to your computer.

The etiquette of Slow Drafts is to have fun in the Live Chat area and to be ready to make your picks when you can. There is a 12-hour time limit per person, but smart people know who they want and try to get to a computer to make their picks in a timely fashion. From there, just have fun.

Good luck all and I think these will start early next week. Sorry for the continued delays, but hopefully the draft room will be open for business soon.
