Then logs off of another 10 before picking his second. Sure he is allowed to do it, and we've put up with it for 30 plus rounds. Just don't want to sign up for another 50 rounds of it, and hope none of my friends have to endure it either.
Hey- it's Lee, and I would like the info to be a little more accurate that is posted on here so I don't tarnish one name and start off on a bad foot with the other. The info Potter posted is not entirely correct. There was one time that we did take a while to make both pics and we had our strategic reasons for that one....but to say They've had to put up with 30 rounds of it? That's a bold face lie and could cause others not to sign up when false statments are made like that.
For those that want to see the truth-here are my last nine pick times..We're team 15
Team 14-8:07a / team 15-11:05a (work-3 hours)
team 14-6:39p / team 15-6:56p (17 minutes)
team 14-8:05a / team 15-9:59a (work-under 2 hours)
team 14-5:13p / team 15-654p (commuting-1 hour 40)
team 14-9:52a / team 15-10:01a (9 minutes)
team 14-2:30p / team 15-6:01p (working-3.5 hours)
team 14-7:50p / team 15 7:59p (9 minutes)
team 14-5:29p / team 15 7:30p (commuting-2 hours)
There are teams in this league that have taken WAY more time than that-but I'm not going to complain-they have 12 hours to pick.

Sounds good Lee and I hate it when people single out one drafter in these Slow Leagues. People can contact me if they have issues with anyone and I can certainly reach out privately and make sure things are moving along. I was going to do that with Lee this week, but I'm glad he's posted instead.
Lee and everyone else should pay attention to the time it takes to make their picks and it sure looks like Lee is doing that. Let's keep making these fun and everyone will win. Keep 'em moving folks, but enjoy the Slow part as well.

Hi Yard,
I find it hard to believe that they were referring to you. You were a gentleman & my apologies as i thought our draft went great accept for my team.LOL I should`ve read more closely. He was a gentlemen & we all did the best we could to make our picks in a reasonable amount of time.
My Apologies

You're near the end of your draft, probably near the 40th pick, and out of 9 picks you have only made 3 in under 1 hour and 40 minutes? I realize the definition of "slow draft" but if you can't pick during the work day you probably shouldn't enter a slow draft.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe people play Slow Drafts because it gives them the opportunity to pick when it's convenient to them. If so I should probably stick with satellite drafts.

Greg, I signed up on the site yesterday like you told us to. You have my name on the list twice now (#48 and 61). I only want to be on one, please take my name off at #61 (also, my name spelled incorrectly on #48). Thanks.

Let's set a KDS deadline of noon CST on Monday for all of these full Slow Drafts. Set your KDS on your current team page and officially get signed up if you can do that. Sign up under $150 Draft Champions or $375 Draft Champions. If you can't do that, you can email me at , but I'd rather you just set your KDS online. We'll then announce draft picks shortly after that and be ready to go as soon as the other items above are done. With any luck, we'll be drafting well before the Super Bowl, so be ready.
Payments will have to be run before we draft, so have a valid credit card when you sign up. Perhaps I am just becoming senile, but I can't find where to set my KDS for these new $150 leagues ... my team is there, but under "My Settings" there is nothing for KDS. The team has not been assigned to a league, so perhaps that is the problem. Since nobody else has mentioned this (and the deadline is Monday), I am guessing it is just me.
On a different note, has there been any thought to assigning teams to leagues based on time zones? For example, there are 60 teams being split into 4 leagues. I have been in leagues where an east coaster goes to bed at 10:00 their time, as a west coaster is just getting home from work so it is difficult to get into any sort of rhythm ... if everybody in the league is within one time zone of one another it may help a little ... or maybe not ... that isn't a request, just a suggestion for future consideration! ... Thanks! ...
No, I am having this problem, too. I am given options to change my team name and add a co-owner, but the KDS "balls" don't appear for me.

With respect to the KDS preference "balls," I was having the same problem regarding the $375 slow draft and I mentioned that problem to Tom yesterday (by e-mail). I also provided Tom with my KDS preferences in that e-mail to make sure they had it before the Monday deadline. That approach will work (even if it is not optimal).

Who Wants To Compete In The Next Slow Draft?
I am in the same draft and I'll take both sides ...
In support of Potter, we got off to a rough start where Lee took pride in sitting online for 4.5 hours waiting to pick because he was angry that he had to wait. He posted notes acknowledging his presence in the draft room and then gloated about sitting online while the rest of us waited. Then, he waited 11 hours, picked and then ran the clock the rest of the time. Additionally, he has been a jerk on the board, which probably caused most of us to dwell on the negatives instead of seeing the rest of the draft clearly.
In Lee's defense, he has been fine the rest of the draft in terms of taking about the same amount of time as the rest of us, considering we're all balancing other commitments.
The first two events described above were new to me, despite having completed about a 15 slow drafts over the past few years. We've had delays and slow pickers, but not someone who took great pride in slowing down a draft.
Greg, sorry to air out dirty laundry on the board, but I didn't want Potter to be on the island by himself.

team 14-5:29p / team 15 7:30p (commuting-2 hours)
There are teams in this league that have taken WAY more time than that-but I'm not going to complain-they have 12 hours to pick. seems reasonable to me Emmitt, not quite the Armageddon you portrayed. Maybe you should keep the sandbox spat within the confines of the sandbox ?
He likes to post stuff in the chat function when on the clock to make sure we know he's there. Then he logs off for 10 hours. Followed by one pick.
Team 14-8:07a / team 15-11:05a (work-3 hours)
team 14-6:39p / team 15-6:56p (17 minutes)
team 14-8:05a / team 15-9:59a (work-under 2 hours)
team 14-5:13p / team 15-654p (commuting-1 hour 40)
team 14-9:52a / team 15-10:01a (9 minutes)
team 14-2:30p / team 15-6:01p (working-3.5 hours)
team 14-7:50p / team 15 7:59p (9 minutes)

hey guys,
there were times i took a while to pick also whether it was while working or coaching my high school hockey team. Ill state it again the draft my bro & i did went fine. Lee was a gentlemen in the room as we talked baseball too. You want a sattelite draft 90 seconds a pick then the nfbc has plenty for you to do.
My 2 cents again.

I'd rather not comment on something I'm not directly involved in but I am in a slow draft, 50 rounds, and we're in the middle of our 4th week! We have one person who has the 14th pick who frequently makes his pick, then logs out for up to 12 hours even though his next pick comes back to him, without fail, in less than 10 minutes each time. I came close to calculating and publishing the average draft times, but it was too much work and not sure what effect it would have... but if this type of meta-information could be added to the site it might be helpful (could also use a 90%ile approach instead of average which would smooth out outliers).

I've commented twice on the matter, two times more than I care to. However, if you wish to further the conversation with ME personally, please feel free to PM. Thanks Emmitt !
