I've come a long way since being clocked at 83-84mph for St. Anthony (Effingham, IL) in 1991!

I think we need one more player! The signup list is below, but it looks like Mike may need to drop out. Post or PM me if interested.

1 KJ Duke

2 Bill Fearon

3 Jeff Dobies

4 Matt Anderson

5 Robert Particelli

6 Rick Thomas

7 Dave Shovein

8 Jack Haan

9 Andy Saxton/ Scott Martin

10 David Anthony

11 Shawn Childs

12 Dan Kenyon/ Bill Cleavenger

13 Eric Albright

14 Roger Martin

15 Mike Diedrich (or Ty Parsons) ... edit, I think we're full again with Ty but if interested post below anyway just in case.

This will be 30 rounds with FAAB. It is a faster slow draft, 10hr clock and I'll be in touch via text to keep things moving if you can't get to a computer. We should finish in 7-10 days.

There's some beaten down veterans with big contracts on the board. Vernon Wells is the highest player left.

The MLBC-1 draft has come to a close and I have to say it was as much fun as any draft format I've played.

The strategy was intense on every pick as each one afforded numerous options that not only affected categories, production, and position as all drafts do, but also budget and your ability to compete in the various pots as only this draft does. About a third of the league spent big, another third remained budget concious to the end, while the remaining third straddled the fence between the two. We'll see whose strategy works out for the league and MOY prizes, at this point I have no clue  .

This was also easily the best chat room of any draft I've taken part. You'd figure any draft that included participants with some of the accomplishments this one had would have interesting strategy, player projection, and skills analysis discussions, and it did. What made it even better is that talk was merely the backdrop to non-stop ballbusting. I laughed from day one of the draft until the finish. About the only thing we all agreed upon is how dominant are the Jets and Mark Sanchez. Great great guys, each and every one, both the ones I've gotten to know previously and the ones I drafted against for the first time. It all added up to great fun.

To top it all off, when have you ever seen a slow draft finish in seven days? Kudos to KJ for the format and for how he ran the draft.

I envy those of you about to start MLBC-2. You're in for a blast.

Glenn
