Hey Squid.

I thought I would reply given my penchant for fish. Your team look decent. Overall, a balanced team that looks a little light on SB.

At least you dont have Buehrle like I do. What a mess "shagging" fly balls. Ozzie Guillen is one of the worst managers in the league.

Here is my team, THE FIGHTING AMISH

C Lo Duca, Santiago

1B - Pujols

2B - Loretta

SS - Guillen

3B - Mora

CI - Casey

MI - Roberts

OF - Bay

OF - Alou

OF - Huff

OF - J. Jones

OF - C. Floyd

Bench:

Pena 1B, Lofton OF, Mackowiak OF, Rivas 2B

SP - Radke

SP - Buerhle

SP - Lopez

SP - C. Lee

SP - Contreras

SP - N. Robertson

RP - Lidge

RP - Hawkins

RP - Linbrink

RP - R. Madsen

RP - Riske

RP - J. Mateo

I like my team alot except for Buehrle injury. That hurts. However, my offense is untouchable I believe, specifically the infield. Lofton and Rivas and Mackowiak will give me some much needed speed along the way.

Hey,Big Fish, yea i know im hurting in SB, that is why i had to waste a pick on sander(that old fart) Your team looks very nice ..Not to sure about roberts , to many injrys to the legs for a burner, but u also have a nice bench that could fill in ........Only chance i have of a few points of speed is Iguchi(if he Pans out) or a Fa

Squids - I too took a DH and not sure I liked it. Hafner is certainly better then Durazo. Our only overlap is Hinske - which is my weak spot(21st round). You have Ensburg covering him, so your not as weak as it looks.

Big hitter, Gagne & Rivera looked like the way I would have aimed if I was picking 1-6 overall.

I also had Edmonds as my #36. Where did you get Hafner - he went 7/5 in Chi 4 where Wells went 7/12 with me picking 7/13 and snaked.

So who were your 5,6,7?

Overall solid based on my rankings.

PW Express.

I think you have some problems with your team quite honestly. Gonzo and Lee alone will kill you. You need quality production from these 2 spots and you just wont get it with those 2. However, that being said work the wire early and often and perhaps you will be able to improve your squad. Your team looks like mine last year, my first year, which finished 13th.

I learned a lot over the winter, dont take SP or RP early as they will kill you. I took Lidge in the 3rd and did not draft Radke until the 11th.

Buerhle (this hurts bad!!!) was 12th. The rest of my pitching were picked 17-30.

Funny you should say that about Roberts. My thoughts exactly and actually was my worst pick of the day in the 6 or 7th round I cant remember. I am short on SB and I hit the panic button here I believe. This is the one regret I had so a very astute observation on your part. I felt really good however about my team until today with Buerhle report. I have to pray it is only 4 weeks and CT scan does not reveal any ligament damage. It is bad enough now.

Head, sorry to say my Partner has are exact draft rd per rd , as we broke up dutys in the draft that part being his ....But off the top .hafner and wells i picked up in the 6-8 rd if i recall .I did take Gagne 2nd rd ,and Rivera 4th ..as we did not gameplan taking a starter until late in the draft as u can tell, but we did get beat out for pedro by the team ahead of us,causing us to then take rivera

I like your pitching a lot. You have the bases covered here. Gagne and Rivera alone with guarantee you 10pts in saves if not more, plus a nice combo of whip, k's and wins with your staff. Hawkins I still believe will close for Cubs if they dont pick up Dotel. However, if the A's contend, they will keep Dotel. If they dont, he will be moved in season to Cubbies and Huston Street will close for the rebuilding and youthful A's. In our case, since we both own Hawkins, we must hope for a good season for the A's.

Big Fish: Since you know all of the A's plans, they might as well fire Billy Beane and hire you. In any event, they'll be fine.

Baltic: Did they skip your turn a few times during the top 5 picks?

Post your team. I need some amusement.

Squid. I also have the less than exciting Craig Monroe on my bench for OF help as well.

Where is Bloak and his dynamo team. Come on Bloak, one more deep thought. How about, abscence makes the heart grow founder, or no, here is a real cool one, that which does not kill us make us stronger....or how about just a plain ole fashioned cliche. I know you have a few in you.

p-torres i see thompson and lopez having good years. not really a garcia fan in that ballpark. not a fan of lee or wakefield either. i actually passed on gagne. i think it was the fourth round. i took foulke instead. i did get brazoban in the late rounds. obviously i think gagne could be out for an extended period of time. not really a rivera fan either. getting old and losing some numbers. hey, what do i know.
