A couple of things that I did like about Fanball's back end that STATS hadn't provided....
1) Fanball was lightning quick in posting the FAAB results each week, often within minutes. If I remember correctly, STATS would often take as long as an hour. It would be great if STATS could mimic Fanball's speed in this regard.
2) I was a big fan of the ability to toggle between teams while remaining on the same page for FAAB, setting lineups, live scoring. It was a big time saver for those of us with multiple teams.
3) When you placed a player on your Watch List in Fanball, it carried over for all your teams. Again, this was a big time savings for those of us with multiple squads. Though I didn't use it, the ability to bid from the Watch List was a nice feature.
4) Free Agent Quick was a cool and useful page.
A couple things neither Fanball nor STATS had that we could definately use......
1) Live Real-Time Scoring for the Overall Standings.
2) Resolve the doubleheader glitch in Live Scoring that always erases the results from the first game of a doubleheader once the second game starts.
3) Input picks into team rosters as they are made at the Live Drafts so that the leagues are loaded immediately and we can avoid the annual delay in getting leagues set up. Sorry, just wanted to bump this from the previous page.

This seems like a no brainer to me.
So you could do this
FA Wade Boggs $50
conditional bid A Rock Raines $128
conditional bid B Jeff Kent $60
This flexability would be very helpful. Sometimes I want to pick up a FA first who may have less hype. I think I could get him for a buck but I got to drop 55 because my conditional is someone who will demand more FAAB. We have talked this over and we are not going to allow conditional bids to be higher than the primary bids. Bids will be processed in order of dollar value and we'll make sure that the system does not allow conditional bids to be placed higher than the primary bid. The software did not accomplish that last year, but STATS had this right the previous six years.
We understand why some folks want higher conditional bids, but it can be a programming nightmare and even tough to understand for the players. Keep It Simple Stupid, is my motto for this one. Sorry.

Thanks for the suggestions Glenn. All of them have been forwarded to STATS and we'll see what we can do here. They are all good suggestions and in time we'll definitely look at each of these. We are working hard now to dust off the old Ferrari and get everything rolling. Unfortunately, we're handcuffed a bit until the transaction goes through on some of the other pieces. But this is a good list and a thorough one it looks like. Thanks.

3) Input picks into team rosters as they are made at the Live Drafts so that the leagues are loaded immediately and we can avoid the annual delay in getting leagues set up. As I recall, a big reason why the NFBC used to have all drafts TWO weeks before the season was because STATS couldn't get the teams in their system in one week. Many people probably don't realize, but this year the season starts on Thursday, a mere four days after the final NFBC draft. So if the teams can't get put in at the draft, it might be difficult for STATS to put them in on time.

[/QUOTE]No, that's not the reason Brian. In fact, Krause's was responsible for inputting the rosters, not STATS. STATS had nothing to do with the draft weekend being two weeks prior to the season, I decided that.
We certainly understand the short time frame between Draft Day and Opening Day this year and we are looking into solutions now. One of them would be to have laptops right there at each draft and inputting rosters as we go. It's a big expense, but it's something we are considering.
No worries. We'll figure out a solution and have rosters entered in plenty of time for Opening Day. Thanks all.

Something I would like to see return is archival data for past leagues you have played in. This was lost with the move from Stats and it is something I would like to see come back. Nothing like being able to go back and look at the previous seasons data. Not saying I expect all previous Stats seasons data to return (though that would be sweet), but I would hope this could be done for all leagues going forward.

This will be done with our new site but it will take some time and won't all be there right away. This is something that we both know will have to be done during the regular season. But yes, all past historical data will be available and will be drilled right down to the league data from each season.
That being said, all of that is available now on the Fanball site. Fanball did a great job of displaying past years' data and all of that is available on your team pages now under the Archived Teams area. Just click on Select for any of those teams and that data is live again. Enjoy.

Not sure about any legal restrictions, but it would be nice to have the capability of downloading the various reports into an Excel spreadsheet or some other format.
Also would enjoy being able to create statistical reports based on the start and stop dates of my choosing.

I feel like I'm the Jerry Quarry of the NFBC.
