Any input on how managerial changes might have an affect on fantasy? i.e.- The Brewers running more... I think the Brewers will run more. They have to. They have far too many speed guys on the team to ignore stealing bases. That was one of Macha's greatest failings. He ignored the makeup of his team.
I'm not sure any of the closers you listed will return to dominant form but if I had to pick one I'd go with Papelbon if for no other reason than there should be plenty of save chances in Boston again this season.

Moving to the Yankees didn't help stop that slide so I'm not confident we'll see him be much better in 2011. I don't expect him to return to the 20-SB level either so you're looking at a guy who will probably hit 20-25 HRs but hit in the .250 range. How much is that worth to you? It's not worth a lot to me.

I can't promise anything, but if we can generate this data I think we'd again try to make this available March 1, around the 15th before the first weekend of live drafts and again around the 22nd before the second weekend of live drafts. In the past this info was available to those owners who competed in early drafts and helped us generate the data. I started doing this because competitors were taking our data and then selling the ADPs. I think it's fair to GIVE this data to those owners who paid to compete in these drafts and created the content.
I'll see if that's the way we can go again, but let's see what we can do about ADPs once we have drafts cruising along and then we'll try to get this to those owners.

Legally, we weren't sure we could do drafts by the 16th, so we felt safer pushing the first satellite league to the 23rd. Please jump in that one if you're itching to do a live draft. Thanks.

As a spinoff of my last question what are your thoughts about the fall of the outfield position in fantasy baseball? The OF used to be full of studs and speed....now its almost slim pickings after the top 20 go off the board.

The position has always been so strong that I doubt we'll see a long-term decline in terms of depth. But I agree there is a greater drop-off than I've seen in the recent past.

early World Series prediction?
Phillies vs Red Sox seems to be the logical choice, but do you think someone else can crash the party?
Which teams will battle for October glory, and who is the key player that propels their season (i.e. outperforms expectations)?

I don't expect dominance from Papelbon, but I think numbers similar to last year can be expected. Broxton should return healthier, should be used better by Mattingly than Torre used him, and should return to form. I could see him being a Top 10 closer again.
Nathan will provide great value you this year. Man, he's going in the 200's and he should start the season as the closer. He's been idle for 12 months and I think he will get most of the saves with Matt Capps filling the setup role. Yeah, Nathan might not be able to go back-to-back all the time, but 30+ saves is a nice prize for a guy going in the 16th or 17th round.
I think the Brewers will be the biggest beneficiary of a managerial change. Roenicke has already said he wants to play aggressively like they did in Anaheim and I think that means many more steals for Rickie Weeks and Corey Hart. This was a station to station team under Macha and it was frustrating to watch. With the pitching that they have and the new emphasis on speed that Roenicke will bring, this could be a fun, fun team to watch this year.

At the risk of sounding like a homer I think the Brewers can make a legit run. They now have the starting pitching to team with their potent offense. I think the key guy there is Fielder. He needs to return to the 40-home run level he is capable of generating. If he can deliver that type of power, combined with the improved starting pitching and the rest of the offense I think the Brewers will be very formidable.

I grabbed him in the XFL and I'm expecting a 20-20 season this year with a .260-ish average. After the All-Star break last year, he really settled in with the Yankees and hit .253-17-43-5. He's probably not going to run as much as he did in Detroit because the Yankees don't need to manufacture runs like the Tigers did, but hey he's a great basestealer and I think he will improve on the 12 he had last year.
Beware that low average, but he's a career .268 hitter who won't hit .247 again and the other numbers will improve in 2011. I like him.

There are all kinds of problems after the Top 20 as you say, but you know some of those diamonds are going to emerge out of this rough.

If he gets traded to Colorado and plays2nd before the Main Event draft.
Where do you rank him among 2b and what rd do you think he goes in?

Which teams will battle for October glory, and who is the key player that propels their season (i.e. outperforms expectations)? The Phillies have to be the favorites in the NL with the addition of Cliff Lee, but San Francisco still has the pitching to compete and Milwaukee will be interesting, too. The favorites haven't always succeeded recently, so I think someone else can emerge from the NL.
The AL is even more competitive. Boston is easily the team to beat, but never count the Yankees out and Tampa and the Angels could compete, too.

Nope, no chance to secure the draft data yet and get an ADP developed. Legally we still have work to do.

Is he worth owning with part time ab? He will be the primary starter with Victor Martinez being the DH most of the time. He should get 350+ at-bats and have some value if he can hit for average. I do like his September finish as he hit .302-2-9. He's 24 years old with some upside, so he's worth a flyer pick, but he can't hit .228 again or you're in trouble.

Is he worth owning with part time ab? It sounds like Avila is going to start with Martinez seeing a lot of time at DH. Avila didn't show much last season and I'm not sure I trust him in Mixed Leagues until he shows he can hit for a decent average at the big-league level. But the Tigers are likely to give him every chance to be the primary starter so the ABs will be there unless he flops badly. He's definitely a high-risk option with some mild upside.
