[/QUOTE]When was the last time you went into a clock store? They all look good on the shelf. I’ll avoid the one with the loud tick. I’m not a fan of implosions.

The Peavy news sounds good, but I need to have more info before I invest. His value lies in the return timetable.
I can't trust a pitcher that didn’t have surgery to repair his injury. I hope Webb pitches great in spring training. I’ll avoid unless he is free at the draft table.
I don’t like the slow steps Sizemore is taking, but I have to respect his resume and understand his price point. My opinion needs more info.

When does 180 at bats count for a full season? I’ll use .240 15/35 as my baseline. If he lasts long enough, he may be player I’m interested. I better have my BA cover before I look at him. I bet he goes higher than I’m willing to invest.

I think there are a couple of names that fit the bill inside of round 10. I expect to own one unless a player a like as CL1 is getting drafted later.

BJ - will he ever hit over .250?
Zobrist - good for 20 hr?
BJ has two of the past four years over .250 and two under. He’s shown the ability to do so. Therefore I think he can. He’s at the right age where he should make a step forward. I’ll take the over this year.
As for Zobrist, he has a 27/17 and 10/24 season on his resume. As long as both of those number combined are over 35, he has value this year. It makes it tough to understand what to expect. I’d draft him thinking 15/15 with a chance at upside in either category. He has 90+ walks two years in row. He can’t hit under .250 again.

Buck-
He’ll hit his share of homeruns with a poor batting average. His runs will be short based on where he hit in the batting order. If you are looking for 12-15 homeruns and 50-60 RBI, he will have value. I’ll give him an over/under of .235 in BA. I’d only buy at a discount.
Ianetta-
He’s a top 15 catcher this year. He’s shown power and he takes a walk which gives him a chance in batting average. If you have a choice between the two, it’s Iannetta all day long.

It’s like Chess. If you want to be the best, you have to see the whole future. If you can see the future, you need to know all the moves to win the game. If I make a wrong move, I could lose unless my opponent makes another mistake to keep me in the game. As the players get better, the game gets better. I like to think and I know I need to improve my decision making. I’m just telling how to play the game and how the pieces move. I never give up my next move. If you think you know it, you may leave me a better one.

It’s between Sale and Chapman, but both players could get zero. They have valuable arms that belong in the rotation. Thornton is a better player than Cordero at this point in his career. If you must, Chapman.

He is the best option after Feliz. Scheppers is the key player. I don’t think his command is ready. When/if it is, they will then transition Feliz to the rotation.

Addiction is a very ugly thing.
What leagues & contests are you playing this year? How many leagues total?
Most importantly, since you play numerous leagues every year and have had tremendous success, are there any tips can you give to those of us also playing multiple leagues on how to better manage our time, be more efficient, and to achieve maximum success in all our leagues since none can take our complete focus?
Hope you're doing well and thanks.
Glenn I’m not sure. To me, the player pool is the same in all leagues. It’s easy to spot a better player dropped in another league. It’s simple. I look at one league and identify any players of interest. I then look at the drops from the previous week to make sure I didn’t miss a name. I look at my weekly stats to see if I made my goals. I set my lineup and see if I have a weakness or have an injury.
I don’t look at many other owners’ rosters to start the year. I really don’t know who will be my competition will be at the end of the year.
I then move to the next league. I don’t waste time putting players into spreadsheets. When I look at all the free agents, I usually know what’s going on by name. I’ll take some time looking at upcoming schedules, but again that information is repeatable from league to league.
I usually know my time frame to do leagues. I hate doing any leagues prior to Sunday afternoon. Therefore I usually don’t start until then.

So, as part of my preparation, I turn to mock drafts. Right now, the best option to me seems to be Mockdraftcentral and signing up for full or nearly full NFBC mock leagues.
Do you have any better/different ideas for draft practice that doesn't involve joining a multitude of real leagues?
Thanks for your willingness to do this chat. Your generosity, as always, is greatly appreciated.
Robert I’m not a fan of mock drafting. I’m ok with you doing it to learn the player pool. It seems like many players are trying to win the mock draft based on projections which are based on the previous season. I’d rather play for real and get good information. You then need to keep your ear close to any other draft information you can find. You need to know who’s moving and what direction. Many times you just know this by playing. ADP’s are helpful, but they help more if you have a plan and understand player trends.
