Only 7 DAYS 'til we walk into draft rooms in Vegas, AC, & St. Louis after being handed our drink tickets by Greg, Tom, & the gang.

There's nothing wrong with sitting down at your draft table and enjoying a beverage or two or three or four or ummmm whatever IF you can handle it........

.....but please know your limitations and drink responsibly out there!!!

Remember, the sobriety you save may be your own!! ;) :D

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I like the jacket. Not exactly the most functional for those Wisconsin winters though. Maybe it's your summer jacket ? :D

Only 6 DAYS left to finalize our travel and lodging plans.

No matter where you're staying........

....and whether you're getting there via train.......

.....plane.....

.....or automobile.....

....the goal is to be there as this is an opportunity to prove that whether past or present, young or old, you've earned the honor of being referred to as THE MAN.

Only 5 DAYS 'til we hear Albert Pujols called out over and over again as the 1st overall pick at draft tables across the country (including in AC by yours truly ) as we symbolically turn the page on the glorious Fanball era.....

Ryan, it obviously didn't work out too well for you on the fantasy front, but maybe that wasn't the right situation for you. After all as you so magnanimously pointed out, there's no opportunity for growth in this industry and you were surrounded by people with no passion or commitment.

Fair well Ryan, I'd like to wish you better luck in your future endeavors as a blogger........

I am heading to AC next Saturday to meet up with Mr. Magner; flight leaves at 6am; sure glad it wasn't yesterday. The Rochester airport was closed for 3 hours, approximately 6am-9am when a passenger buying a ticked at Jet Blue counter said he had a bomb in his bags; Later stated he was "joking"

Only 4 DAYS 'til we not only thankfully turn the page on the Fanball era, but we get to welcome the new owners of our contest, STATS. They've already made their first great decision by putting control of our game back in the hands of Greg and Tom, a pair of Hall of Famers who know what to do with it (I know you're not in yet Tom, but like the runnerups in our inaugural HOF class, it's just a matter of time) ;) .........

I'm glad these guys are behind the wheel again, even if they are Brewers fans (noone's perfect) :D ......

Great pictures of two Milwaukee Greats there Glenn...

Those two burst onto the scene here in Wisconsin with a little more gusto than you and I did in our draft on Saturday I think... However it was just a matter of time before they became HOF'ers! :D

Watch out for the two new rookies NFBCK League, watch out! ;)

Just 3 DAYS 'til the start of my 3rd season with the NFBC, my favorite contest of my favorite hobby, fantasy sports. I don't believe there's another fantasy contest where ALL the best of the best have taken the challenge against each other over the years. I'm proud of what I've accomplished against this level of competition my 1st two years, but this year my goal, like that of 389 others, is to finish as THE best of these best. In 3 days, that challenge starts for all of us.......

As our Countdown approaches its completion and with the NFBC live draft season only 2 DAYS away, it's just about time to finish our prep, throw caution to the wind, and dive right in. I think I'm ready, are you?.......

Glenn, the MLB has the Ford Frick award for broadcasters and journalists. You didn't make the inaugural NFBC Hall of Fame for players, but you may be our first Message Board Picture Hall of Famer!! :D Nice job and win the NFBC title this year so that you're not just remembered as "that guy who posts those cool pictures for the countdown to NFBC Draft Day!" :D Nice job on these.

If we ever have a football season again, your job is to start from 99 and work down!! Now that would be fun.

As far as the message board picture HOF, Jupinka would probably beat me there too (damn him already), and KOQ would certainly be in that inaugural class before me as well (damn him too).

Greg, I'll also be sure to win the overall this year so these pics aren't all I'm remembered for.....should be a piece of cake.

Speaking of KOQ.....you hit 99 right on the head Bud!!!!! J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets!!
