Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Countdown to the NFBC

Post by Glenneration X » Fri Mar 18, 2011 2:02 am

As I sit here in my hotel room, looking out at the water, and drinking my second cup of coffee, several things are on my mind.

First and foremost, I'm praying that the pounding in my skull caused by one too many Jack and cokes finished at one too late an hour last night starts to subside. :(

I'm also questioning why the he** I asked for that morning wakeup call??

However, through the pain I'm also realizing that in a just a few hours, the very first live auctions and DP's will be underway.

The end of our Countdown is here! There are 0 DAYS LEFT 'til the fun begins. Today is the day.

So as many of us sit here waiting for Tom to announce the second weekend draft slots (and I wonder why Tylenol isn't stronger), I've been trying to come up with an appropriate ending to the Countdown. I think I have it! Images of America's Team. What else would be inspiring enough for Draft Day?

So enjoy and good luck to everyone in this and next weekend's drafts and auctions. It's been fun........

I know this last pic isn't really one of my Mets, but what the hell, it works for me.
