Jonathan Lindsey Jonathan, no one knows for sure. Could be any day. We're all waiting on a new site, draft room, login account to be set up. Most assuredly you will receive an email when all is set up and if you keep on eye on the boards you'll see some threads with that info too. We're almost there

Jonathan Lindsey Jonathan, I'm in Chicago now testing everything and I'll post an update later today. But the plan is to get these going tomorrow on new NFBC draft software. Everyone will get an email shortly directing them to the right site. But let me make sure everything is ready to go first and then we'll update the crew.

I know this is frustrating for all of you who signed up for these Slow Drafts weeks ago and want to get going sooner than tomorrow, but legally our hands were tied. Now we're almost there and it's time to get these drafts rolling. Trust me, I'm more anxious to get these going than you are. We have nine leagues waiting to draft and we'll get all 135 owners picking players soon enough. Thanks for your patience.

This has been a quick development and we won't have all of the cool enhancements right away, but this is certainly very functional for the early Slow Drafts and they will run smoothly. We still have a lot of work to do where it comes to getting everyone logged into the new site and the leagues loaded, so these won't be ready to go first thing tomorrow morning. Give us time to get that part done and I'll have another update tomorrow afternoon. But yes, we are close.

Slow Draft Start Time Pushed Back To Monday

While we are waiting, I have a noobie question re this format. It seems possible, if not likely, the slow draft will not be complete by opening day. If that happens, do we continue to draft into the regular season until rosters are filled, or is there some process to accelerate the pace as we get closer to the first game?

Let's hope that doesn't happen as we really should get through two rounds per day for a total of 25 days or so. But if that were to happen, yes we'd keep drafting until all 50 rounds are complete. But I'll try to push those type of leagues along if possible.

Okay, give me a little time today to set up these 10 full Slow Draft leagues. It has to be done manually at this point and thus will take some time. We'll email each league before we get started here, but hopefully we can all be drafting in the next 24 hours or so. Just hang tight for now as we get everyone set up in the new system.

The draft room has Flash and non-Flash applications, so nobody should have trouble logging in using their current logins. And the draft application is very easy to use and the Search is very easy to use as well. We have a solid default list of players, but you can create your own list from there and save it into your draft room. All stat categories can be sorted as well, so if you're looking for SBs you can easily find the best available players using last year's totals. We don't have projections for each player, however.

Email alerts will go out but not text alerts. Maybe in the future we can add that, but text alerts won't work for now. We will also reduce the time available for each pick to 10 hours. There is also an auto-pick feature and a good-sized que for each owner. Again, we have not added the enhanced feature of separate ques for separate rounds, but we realize this would be a nice feature in the future.

Okay, give us a few hours to load all of this, finish up some Admin features for us on the back-end and we could be Slow Drafting soon. All is good if you give us a little more time. Thanks.

got the email for the slow draft teams; was able to log in and get to each team page, but when I tried to enter slow draft, I got a series of error messages. I assume it's not supposed to be working yet, right?

Greg and I have been entering as many people into the system as possible. It's taking a little more time than we anticipated so hang tight a bit longer and we'll keep going.

I think this has been confirmed before but can't recall the answer. Are we gonna keep the same User and Password from last year?

Thanks in advance and sorry for redundancy

Everyone: We have all 150 teams entered in the system now. Most of you probably already received email confirmations after your teams were registered and you might even be able to see those teams tonight. But we still have some work to do before we start these, so don't plan on anything tonight yet. But with any luck, we'll be rolling tomorrow with all 10 full Slow Draft leagues. Be ready and let's roll through a few rounds.

We are running drafts tonight to double check everything and making sure the Admin tools are working in case we need to jump in and help with anything. Again, we'll have 10 hour limits per pick instead of 12 previously. We'll send out an email to update everyone who is registered for these leagues and then of course the URL for your drafts tomorrow. We're doing everything we can to get these leagues rolling before the weekend because we know that time is of the essence now. Stay tuned and we'll be drafting shortly.

I'm excited. The guys put this all together in a hurry and it will be fun to see online drafts again. We're almost there and I'll be online all weekend long to help if you need it. Should be fun with so many folks drafting at once. Be prepared and be ready. And thanks again for your patience.
