First NFBC Column Goes Out

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Feb 18, 2011 7:29 am

Through our new association with STATS, I'll be able to post a weekly column through STATS/Associated Press and hopefully that will get our contest and events a lot of publicity. I led off with a column that we posted earlier showing the first round selections from previous pay NFBC leagues. Interestingly, even on the Internet you sometimes can't be fast enough as the Miggy DUI wasn't updated before this went out. But we'll update where Miggy is falling to after we get the Slow Drafts rolling.

This is going to be a regular feature throughout the baseball off-season and regular season, with STATS and AP publishing this every Friday. As you can see already, it's being picked up by other sites with Yahoo being the first. Hopefully this will be a good, good way to spread the word about the NFBC. We'll also have a chance to do this in football and basketball, with weekly columns going out on pre-season data and in-season free agent pickups. This will be good for everyone.

Here's where you can find this first NFBC column and look for a new one next Friday:

Your e-mail address is wrong in the first article.
Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.” Isaiah 63:1

First NFBC Column Goes Out

This first NFBC article was picked up by Yahoo, FoxSports.com and many newspaper web sites last week, just one way we're going to expand our exposure this year. Here's the FoxSports.com piece:

These will appear each Friday before, during and after the MLB season. I'll post the link to this week's column, which looks at the effects of the Miguel Cabrera DUI arrest and Adam Wainwright's injury on NFBC early rounds. I also take a look at the starting pitcher run this year in recent NFBC drafts. Look for it soon.
