10 NFBC Slow Drafts To Start Today: Schedule Posted Here

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Feb 21, 2011 5:35 am

Okay you very, very, very patient baseball die-hards: We are FINALLY ready to start our Slow Drafts. We've been taking signups for these since Jan. 4th when we started our last five leagues and we are now finally ready legally and technically to host these on the new NFBC site.

I will send out an email to all participants shortly, but I know a lot of folks are on the boards now so I thought I'd post here first. Here is the schedule of the start times for these Slow Drafts as we chose to stagger them slightly so that we can make sure everyone is logged in and everything is running fine. Here you go:

1 PM CT:

1000 Slow Draft League 1

375 Slow Draft League 3

375 Slow Draft League 4

2 PM CT:

150 Slow Draft League 10

150 Slow Draft League 11

150 Slow Draft League 12

150 Slow Draft League 13

150 Slow Draft League 14

3 PM CT:

150 Slow Draft League 8

150 Slow Draft League 9

The new site is going live now at http://nfbc.stats.com. Once that is live you can log in with your username and password that you've had before. If somehow you don't remember it, contact me at [email protected] and I'll look it up. I'm at 715-254-5553 or 715-445-2906 if you need me.

Once you are logged in, go to HOME, MY TEAMS and click on your team name. If it says Team Ambrosius, click there and you'll be taken to your league home page. Click on the Go To Draft Room link and you'll have a choice to use HTML or Flash versions of the Draft Room. I believe you can change your draft list under DRAFT PREP. The default list is there and you can change your list there, save it and your list will show up in the draft default list. Save it as often as you'd like.

That's it. We should be drafting shortly. Thanks for your patience all and tell everyone in your league to be ready. I think we can knock out several rounds today and get these really moving.

Now, where is Miguel Cabrera going to go? We ALL want to know that!! Good luck all.

I'm not in the slow drafts, but I thought I should mention that there is no Draft link on the green navigational bar. Perhaps it doesn't show up because I'm not scheduled to draft. If so, that's fine but it would be a change from Fanball.

Click on the team name and that will take you to the league page. From there you will see a live link that says "Head to the draft room." You then will be given the option to use either the HTML draft room or the Flash draft room. Click on the one you want and you'll be all set to go when the draft begins.

Okay, the new site is now open at http://nfbc.stats.com. Once you log in, you can also go to HOME, MY TEAMS and click on the team link. So if I have a $375 Slow Draft and it says Team Ambrosius, just click on Team Ambrosius and it takes you right to the HTML version of the Draft Room. You can then click on the DRAFT link above and go to Draft Prep or Draft Room. In the Draft Room you'll have an option of using the HTML version or the Flash version. Check them both out.

Very easy to get to draft room. Looks nice.

Is there someplace that shows everyone that is logged into the draft room?

Excellent! For those of us in the satellite league this Wednesday, will that league get loaded before Wednesday so we can have a look around and not be "on the clock" while we are familiarizing ourselves with the environment?

Thanks!

Is there someplace that shows everyone that is logged into the draft room? Good point. Very important to be able to see who is online. Without this feature the drafts may drag on. You typically build momentum when you see many folks on. Please look into. Thanks

Looks like there is a little green dot next to your team name, my guess that means you are online.

Click on expand all in the upper left hand corner... the list of teams will be there, with a dot next to the teams that are online.

A list of teams that are online is available in the Flash version. It doesn't appear it is available, as of yet, in the HTML version

You also have to remember, some can just leave the draft room up and not be there.

I just tried to log in and nothing happened. I used a bookmark of the site to load the page. Is it because everybody is trying to log on?

Looked at HTML and flash. like what I see. Should get the mail answered for this year.

Next year let's get the text notifications back (or maybe I ought to just man-up and buy a cell phone w/internet access).

Well done Team NFBC. Ready to go in 7 minutes
