Again, I blame all the dumb posts for the delayed transfer. 
We really wanted to keep these UBB boards intact because of the history involved with the posts and because so many people have become accustomed to the look and feel of the boards. We've seen with other contests what happens when you delete that great history on the boards and we didn't want that to happen here. So even though the software isn't even serviceable anymore from the creators of UBB, we chose to keep this intact.
Because it's outdated, it took several hours to transfer over and then several hours for the URL to burn out from nfbc.fanball.com to nfbc.stats.com. During that 30 hour period some of you were transferred to a test destination that wasn't our live boards. Sorry about that. Now, however, everyone should be directed here and the boards from Fanball are also being redirected here. We're almost all as one again as a community.
The final piece of this puzzle has been more troubling to fix. As you'll see on the Home page of the boards, there are now over 80,000 registered users for the NFBC, with about 72,000 of those being spammers. They flow in every night about 75-100 at a time and we have a blocker to prevent their posts from automatically getting through. Some have gotten through since the transfer and we'll do what we can to keep them off. But they find ways to get through. Because of this, when you Register for the NFBC boards you get a "Not Approved" return message. That just means that Tom or I have to go into the Admin and approve you.
So if you do register for the boards and get this message, email us at [email protected] or [email protected] and we'll get you signed up. Thanks.
One more thing: Because we have so many message board members it took 24+ hours for all of them to load in the system. And it's very possible that not all of them arrived. If you still can't log into the boards, email Tom your login and we'll look it up. If we can't find you in the system, we'll need you to Register again using a new MB name and a new email. Then just email us and we'll approve you for the boards. We'd all love to keep our MB name if possible, but change it slightly and we'll get you back on the boards.
I think this is a pain, but we need to do it to get everyone back on the boards again. Hopefully the system is starting to recognize your old logins, but if not, don't fight it anymore and just re-register for the boards. And then email us to get approved and we'll do it.
