Last night Shawn Childs and myself represented the NFBC in the 18th annual LABR AL Auction League. I'm not the last original member of this high-profile industry league that originally started with the likes of Peter Gammons, Keith Olbermann and Bill James. I finished second that first year in the AL and I've finished second one other time, but without a title over 17 years of participating my record looks more like the Washington Generals than the Harlem Globetrotters!!



Thus, I've called in an NFBC ringer to help the cause. Shawn Childs teamed up with me last year and we finished second in the NL LABR League but we finished 11th in the AL LABR League. We were out to avenge that crappy finish in the AL last night and took a very, very aggressive approach. It's more aggressive than I normally go, but Shawn drove this train all the way this time as my time recently has been used on career survival rather than player projections.



It was a fun, fun night and we'll do the NL Auction League tonight here in Phoenix. Here's our team, which has stars and scrub-holes. Enjoy and feel free to comment.
