SCARY FANTASY BASEBALL DRAFT NIGHTMARE

Post by Winston's Empire » Sat Mar 12, 2011 4:00 am

Well a draft I have been waiting and planning for is finally here today and when I went to bed last night, I felt confident I was prepared to get into the shark tank with some of the best in the game....

As I snoozed off to sleep I had thoughts of the first 4 rounds dancing like sugar plums in my head, but things quickly turned for the worse!

MY SCARY DREAM BEGAN...

My alarm clock fails to go off and my barely 1 year old Son Winston walks into our room and and says, "Daddy, your draft starts in 2 minutes"!! (This is scary for a number of reasons, but mostly because he can't speak yet.)

I frantically make my way to the computer I have set up for the draft in my office and I see the draft has started and my 2 back to back picks at 15&16 are up... To my horror my 50+ Player QUEUE is totally empty... :(

When I start to try to piece together how it is possible my player queue is dry after only 14 picks, RT pipes in, "Thats how good we all are here, welcome to the league rookie"! I could hear the other 13 sharks laughing at me as well....

Sweating and frightened at the thought of grabbing James Loney with my first pick and a Scott Rolen with my second, I woke up and screamed....

I AM READY FOR DRAFT DAY!!! :D

Too funny Max, I had a very similar nightmare last night. My 50 player queue was also empty by the time the draft hit my 1st pick, the only difference is I have the #2 pick!!

The only other difference is Bar Refeali was facilitating this draft and we both decided to forget the draft and go back to bed. Ummmm, I guess it wasn't quite a nightmare after all.
