Tired as hell, but what a great time in Las Vegas last week-end.
Greg, I know you hear from a lot of folks in passing when its good and extensively when someone has an ax to grind, but for me, the whole Vegas experience was phenomenal.
As far as the facilities go, the Bellagio is just a top resort with world class accommodations. The set-up was great with half the Main Event drafts in one room and the other half in another with a common area in between really kept the noise (and echo-picks) down to a minimum. The food was great both Friday and Saturday during the events. The Chinese Buffet with Key Lime Pie for dessert Friday and marinated flank with sauteed carrots and lemon tortes for dessert Saturday sure beats the hell out of anything I was expecting. Knowing resort/Vegas costs, there is no way that the event fees covered the cost of those buffets (not to mention the beers, sodas, cookies, et al in the rooms at the various drafts/auctions) and I appreciate the extra effort. Not just extra effort, but MAX effort.
The real deal however was the fellowship. There is nothing like the live experience. Getting to see Clum again was great, but to get to reconnect, even briefly with Childs, Jupinka (sorry again Stephen for my faux pas), Rick Thomas, Nick Cassevetes (is there a nicer guy), and KJ Duke just to name a few makes the trip really special. Thanks, Bob, for setting up that breakfast. I really got to know Dan Semsel there and what an outstanding individual he his. I do not believe I had every met Terry Haney until this weekend and what a great guy he is to talk to. There are so many more. Anyway, the live events are where it is at because these guys are the best of the best.
Obviously I had a blast, so I cannot wait until next year! Thanks again Greg (and Tom and the rest).

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I agree Wayne on the whole Vegas experience being fantastic.
The food was especially top notch this year and I loved the draft room setup especially on saturday for the main event
Good job Greg once again on hosting such a great event . Heres hoping the NFL ends their lockout in time for the season so I can be back in Vegas for the NFFC at the end of the summer.

Thanks Wayne and Matt. I'll gladly add to this thread once I'm done inputting rosters. I can't tell you how happy I was with the last 12 days of work in Las Vegas. Those drafts couldn't have gone any smoother and the drafters couldn't have been more prompt, or nicer or friendlier. There were many MAN HUGS being given out in Las Vegas this weekend and they were hugs of joy that the NFBC family is alive and well.
As RT put it: IT FEELS LIKE HOME AGAIN!!
And it did. All weekend long. All during the week inbetween. All second weekend too. I'm so proud of everyone involved, I really am.
Again, I'll add more, but right now I just want everyone to know that we are close to getting all leagues entered from the live drafts. I have to do the Ultimate Auction League from Las Vegas and the Sunday, March 27th Auction Championship from Las Vegas. I'll get both of those done tonight and then we'll be good to go. Sound good everyone?
And I will add one more thing from Las Vegas: The post-NFBC Ultimate Auction drinkfest in the sportsbook bar will now be an annual tradition!!
WOW, was that fun and funny. We'll spin the stories later, but it was worth every penny of that bar bill!!
WE'RE HOME AGAIN!!!

The Ultimate Auction League is now live. Enjoy all and good luck to all.
Now you have to admit, that Brady Tinker-Greg Ambrosius-Dennis Miller team was pretty damn good on Sunday night!!
We kept that auction moving and I didn't have a single math error. Not bad for three guys drinking most of the time.

Fantastic event weekend! Nicely done Greg and all the NFBC staff and assistants/facilitators.
Concur on post Ultimate Auction Beer Call. The scenery was impressive and the conversation lively.
Always good catching up with people and putting names/faces together.
Good luck all

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
