Adam Jones I kicked the Baker habit this year whipsaw. I shook a lot and cried for Dan Kenyon in the middle of the night. Same thing with Rollins and Travis Snider. Although I am Jonesing for some Snider this morning as we speak.

I still keep taking him late. Sigh. I did cut way back on Snider this year, and I'm completely off the Rollins sauce.

Hanley - Auction/Main
Torri Hunter - Auction/Main
Dan Hudson - triple play (Auction, Main and DP)
Buchholz - Main/DP
Huff - Auction/Main
G Sanchez - Auction/Main
Ibanez - Triple (I think most are selling him short, he wasn't even drafted in one of the drafts making up the ADP)
Berkman - Main/DP
Coghlan -Main/DP
Pineda - Auction/DP
Westbrook - Main/DP
Beachy - Auction/DP
Slowey - Main/DP
and I really wanted Pineda and Beachy in the Main.

Adam LaRoche Quite a few people were in the class of being "my guys" until they jumped quite a bit in spring training, like Starlin Castro, Rajai Davis, but the two guys that stayed the whole way were Mike Aviles and Kyle McClellan. It took me having a partner in one league to not draft Aviles in 11 straight leagues, 5 of them NFBC. Nothing like spreading the risk.
I finally felt tonight that it was okay to post my main event draft boards on my "blog", especially since SJup (I can give him a nickname I suppose, he's in the HOF) was in my league in AC week 1 and that would have been especially tacky. I've been getting more in photography and was partly just going for some cool shots to help me keep my teams straight.

Who are you counting on this year?
interesting thread. I have 4 satellites, the KJ Duke Salary Lge & a 10 man home league. I had too many guys on at least 2 teams so to be considered a full fledged member of the rockitsauce family you had to appear on 3 or more teams.
Only 2 guys and I'd never have believed either of them would be on any of my teams (let alone 3!)
Manny & Ichiro. Manny seems rejuvenated to me, batting cleanup behind Longoria is $, and considering I got him b/w rd's 12-14 he could be a real steal. Ichiro always seems to get drafted in the 3rd or 4th rd by some guy that thinks he's gonna hit .350 again....turns out this yr I was that guy. At least I waited until the middle of the 5th and even the 6th to get the Samurai
some others I'm certainly pulling for are Freddie Freeman, Chipper, Carlos Lee, and Venable I guess I was all in even before the hypeup by you know who
Pitchers I'm counting on are the Desert Duo - Kennedy & Hudson, Myers, & Gallardo.
EDIT: How could I forget the Captain of the rockitsauce franchise, Omar Infante?! Got him 4x (19th - 20th rds). He doesn't hit alot of hr's or steal alot of bases, but he should score a bunch of runs, provide a nice boost in AVE and his mutli pos eligibilty is priceless

Axford.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Who are you counting on this year?
I agree that this is a very interesting thread. I usually don't bother checking how often I have a specific player across various teams, but this thread peaked my interest and I performed the exercise last night.
I probably have a few more teams than most, so I'll just list the players I have on 5 or more teams and whether they were targets and why or just coincidence.
Grady Sizemore (9) - A 1st rounder just two years ago, I was grabbing him in the late teen rounds whenever he was available there. What's the downside of grabbing his upside where he was going in drafts? I think the potential upside far outweighs the downside when taken in slightly better than a replacement level round.
Peter Bourjos (8) - He was usually available long after most of the accomplished Judy's were taken and provided potential power upside along with the speed I was usually looking for around the times he was drafted. If he can keep his BA above water, he should be a nice asset.
Aaron Harang (8) - Not in love with him, but as a 6th or 7th starter, I've seen far worse do well when moving to Petco. His main trouble area, giving up flyballs, should be somewhat mitigated by his new home.
Carlos Carrasco (8) - I like to target young, high upside pitching late in drafts. Crappy team, limited experience, but serious potential.
Homer Bailey (7) - Fits the high upside pitching focus for the late rounds I mentioned earlier. He was one of my favorites going into draft season this year. His injury just made it a little easier to draft him a little later.
Michael Pineda (7) - See upside pitchers comment for Carrasco & Bailey. Seemed to be able to pick him up at will prior to the 2nd weekend Mains where he started flying up the draft boards.
Alexi Casilla (7) - Cheap, cheap MI speed with a full-time job now, limited challenges for AB's, and an availability way late in drafts.
Jordan Zimmerman (6) - There was a pocket of pitchers available in the early teen rounds that have limited experience, but did show some success last year that I love this year. I wanted at least one each draft as a #3 or 4 starter. I just ended up with Zimmerman the most.
Kevin Youkilis (6) - Power, average, plays in a great park and offense, 3B eligibility in two weeks. I saw him as a great building block whenever available in the mid to late 2nd round.
Adam Jones (6) - Great young skills, eventually should take the step up. Is this the year? A bit post-hype and I like finding those type of players for my OF. Hopefully he can provide what Rasmus did for my teams last year in similar draft rounds.
Vlad Guerrero (5) - I wish I got him in more drafts. I thought he was one of the best values when drafted at his ADP, let alone if he slipped at all.
Carlos Beltran (5) - See Grady Sizemore comments.
Victor Martinez (5) - A top catcher in the 3rd or 4th rounds was a target for most of my drafts. I just ended up with Victor more than the others.
Paul Konerko (5) - Power hitting 1B that plays in a great park and great offense. I grabbed him in several 6th rounds whenever I needed a 1B or at times to give me an edge at CI.
KRod (5) - Need closers, just a coincidence he's the one I have the most. Maybe it's because he's a Met.
Luke Hochevar (5) - Grabbed him as my last pick in a few drafts, honestly more than I thought.
There are many other players that I have on multiple teams, but won't list. I didn't want this to be a 20-page post.

Who are you counting on this year?
holy crap, it seems just about every thread other than the current All time draft & Lindy related stuff has been spammed.
well, this particular thread is an interesting one to be brought back to life. Looking back now, the guy who began this thread (whipsaw) sure did a good job w/ his pitching anyway.
Scott Baker - suprisingly solid, K's up, performed much better than most expected.
Cliff Lee - Ace (til playoffs
)
Jered Weaver - Ace
K-Rod - Fine, until trade.
James Shields - Ace
Joel Hanrahan - probably best closer (for where he was drafted in most lge's)
some other "stuff"
boy, alot of us were wrong about Aviles (KC sure didn't think much of him) ....Rajai, I think we can all agree was a disappointment. One of Glenn's guys stands out as GREAT value - Pineda.
Anyone else have any thoughts before the spammers take this one back ?
