First we acquired the NFBC and NFFC. Then Charlie Wiegert, John Brison and the old CDM gang acquired Diamond Challenge, Draft & Play and several other pay-to-play games. And now RT Sports has acquired the Fanball commissioner leagues. While it's sad that Fanball folded, it's good to see that many of the core products are landing in the hands of good business operators who can still continue to serve these great customers.
Kudos to Liberty Sports Interactive for making sure all of these customers have been paid in full and their favorite games are in the hands of the right people. I commend LSI for the way they have handled these products and I also commend the folks at Fanball who are still working on all of this. GREAT JOB.
The announcement that RT Sports will be servicing the Fanball commissioner leagues is great news for everyone. Tim and Mark are great, great guys and RT Sports is a solid company. This is a good move for all involved. Here's the press release from yesterday:
Saint Louis, MO - March 28, 2011 - RealTime Fantasy Sports lnc ("RTSports") announced today that it has purchased from Liberty Sports Interactive, lnc. ("Fanball") its MLB, NFL, NHL and NBA fantasy commissioner league assets.

This is the third asset acquisition for RTSports, which acquired Fantasy City Sports in 2009 and Web League Commissioner last year.
"RealTlme Fantasy Sports is a perfect home for the Fanball commissioner leagues," said Jim Enright, Vice President of Fanball. "Their technology, expertise and ability to innovate quickly will produce a seamless transition for these valued commissioner customers."
RealTime Fantasy Sports, headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., is a top fantasy football provider. The 2011 football season will be the 17th year RTSports has provided fantasy commissioner services.
