NFBC Second Chance Leagues Starting On April 28th
One of the new contests we are going to offer this year is NFBC Second Chance Leagues, which are NFBC Satellite Leagues that begin after Opening Day. They are what the title says: A second chance to draft another winning team. We will offer these before the start of May, June and July and then finish out the drafting season with NFBC Mid-Season Leagues during the All-Star break.
Right now I just have $125 Pay Top 3 and $250 Pay Top 3 draft times listed. They will be added to the NFBC Registation page soon and we won't hit any credit cards until leagues are full. I have no idea if these will go over well or be a flop, but we have a lot of the season left to enjoy and thus adding more drafts and a few more options to compete seemed like fun. I can add higher-priced leagues if the demand is there or offer different dates and/or times if you'd like, but right now I'm just trying to get this started and see what kind of demand is out there. We'll keep a running list of sign-ups for each date in April/May and see if we can fill up a league or two.
The concept is simple: You'll draft on the Thursday, Saturday or Sunday at the end of the month and the league will be loaded as soon as the draft is done. Lineups will need to be set before the Monday games and all stats will count from that Monday until the end of the season. These are new drafts and new leagues with a bit of the season to base your decisions on. We'll pay Top 3 in each league just like our normal $125, $250 and higher satellite leagues.
Here's the draft dates and times I've listed so far:
NFBC Second Chance Leagues:
Thursday, April 28
7 pm ET: $125 Pay Top 3
Saturday, April 30
6 pm ET: $125 Pay Top 3
1 pm ET: $250 Pay Top 3
Sunday, May 1

6 pm ET: $250 Pay Top 3
Thursday, June 30

NFBC Second Chance League Prizes

3rd: $125
NFBC Second Chance League Prizes
$250 Pay Top 3

2nd: $750
3rd: $250
Give us your thoughts and best of luck the rest of the way everyone.
