It's hard to believe, but they are without a doubt the worst defensive team in baseball. Theriot is an absolute disaster at SS. Berkman is hilarious in RF. 2B and 3B are awful. It hurts to watch your SP continually get screwed by the D on that team (especially when the home team scorer refuses to score anything an error)

we all knew their defense would be crappier with berkman out there. ss was a downgrade too. yuck!

The Genius puts Tyler Greene in for defense (even though he appears to be awful at defense and offense and baseball generally). He promptly drops a popup that leads to an unearned run that ties the game 1-1 in the 8th, costing Jamie Garcia the win. Well done.

hope people aren't counting on many wins from cardinal starters. even though errors will help mitigate ERA, they continue to add to pitch counts.
