Cheers to the former professional baseball player out of the Cardinals organization who transitioned into an awesome entertainer and provided many of the greatest wrestling memories to date. My wife and I were saddened to hear of the news today as he was one of our childhood favorites. Few wrestlers have ever had the charisma and 'it' factor that can captivate a crowd and make them plunk down their money to watch them perform. Guys like Ric Flair, The Rock, Stone Cold, Hogan and Ultimate Warrior had it. I believe that the Macho Man was in that group as well.
He was quite successful outside the ring as well. Outside of playing pro ball, he was the spokesperson for Slim Jim, was named Harvard "Man of the Year" and also starred in several movies.
It's tough to watch wresting today. It's not really the same. Many in the wrestling industry have lost their lives too soon. Randy Savage was due to return to WWE wrestling in some capacity this year to begin his walk towards the Hall of Fame inductions at the next Wrestlemania.
Thanks for the memories Macho Man... "ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhh... DIG IT!"

RIP Macho Man
Well said. I too was sad to hear this news and always loved watching him perform! Nobody could fly off the top turn buckle waiving that big elbow, only to find out when he hit the mat, nobody was home... sending him realing!
Plus he had the hottest wrestling chick ever in Ms. Elizabeth!
Oooooooh Yaaaaaaaaaa!!!! RIP Macho Man
