Is it me, or does the Reds roster consist of seven starting position players, 12 pitchers, and 10 left fielders....

Oblique dee, oblique daa, la la la, life goes on....

Again, the Beatles were far ahead of their time...

We didn't have one rainout during the last series of games.

Somewhere, God was saying, "Screw the end of the world, I'm watching interleague."

A lot of pitchers weigh more than their E.R.A.

Thanks Bartolo for keeping it real....

Jeff Wilpon says that David Wright is not a superstar.

Wright can take solace.

Jeff Wilpon introduced Bernie Madoff to Sandy Koufax and said Madoff would do wonders with his money.

Making Wilpon two for two in misjudging people.

It is almost Memorial Day and only 14 hitters have double digit home runs.

Somewhere on a baseball field in front of a corn field, Ron Santo and Harmon Killebrew don't care, and are having a great time hitting their own.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Speaking of Madoff & the Wilpons, Bernie recently vouched for Fred & Jeff.

Now imagine you're fighting for your freedom in a court of law and Bernie Madoff is the one vouching for your innocence. Now there's a credible source, he would never lie. I'd almost want him to be a witness for the prosecution.

The Bartolo shoutout is classic!

Wright might not be a "Superstar" but he is one of 2 things I like about the Mets... the other, memories of GREAT games on tv in Shea!

The thought of Santo and Killebrew playing home run derby on a simple baseball field is a great thought

I was at the the Bartolo shutout almost right behind homeplate. He was throwing 92-96 all night, mostly 94-95 and throwing darts. ahead of almost every batter, almsot all fastballs with nasty movement. 103 pitches... Quite a gem... He wasnt even huffing and puffing... It will be intersting to see his fianl numbers if he stays healthy... If healthy 14-18 wins, over 200ks and 200 innings...

Did the Yanks bring him in on a 1 year deal? If he does stay healthy and continues to produce I will be interested to see what he is worth on the FA market!

2 years - $20 Million? Ah heck, my Cubs will problably give him 7 years - $100 million ;)

Insert Fred for Jeff. Jeff is Fred Wilpons' son and was friends with Mark Madoff and introduced his father to Bernie.

Fred was the one interviewed by the New Yorker and said that "Wright is a good kid but not a superstar."

If the Mets let Reyes leave- i'm done as a fan. I get a redo and can become a Yankee fan and inherrit 27 world championships.

Alas it is easier to change wives than baseball teams.

"Hey Dan meet my new wife"

"Great to meet you - good luck"

"Hey Dan, I am no longer a Mets fan and now root for the Yankee"
