I'm a yankees fan and Sabathia has looked horrible this year in all but 2 starts. He looks out of shape, always deep in counts and has looked very hittable all year long. I for one hopes he opts out and the Yanks say SEE YA. He has 4 years and 90 million that he would be leaving and I find it hard to believe any team would give him even that if he doesnt start pitching better. As for the Yanks giving him 2 more years and 50 million more, he's got to be brain dead. Opt out CC and don't let the door hit your large rear end.

How many here think he should opt out?

I Guess he heard the faithful moaning about him, because he pciked it up the last half of the game. I Still think he can walk and I felt that way when the yanks signed him, he's not worth the money.

W-L 4-3

ERA 3.06

IP 76

K 59

BB 21

ERA: 3.17

WHIP: 1.27

Here are the numbers. Agree he hasn't looked quite as sharp as usual, but the numbers are still good. He lost a win at the beginning of the season when the Yanks bullpen blew a game. Also keep in mind that Sabathia is historially better in the second half of the season. I don't think that Sabathia owners have anything to worry about.

down with the evil empire! up with the rebel alliance! The RedSox can have him... let's see $$190 Million or so for Matzsuka and Lackey and the results are 68 wins in 7 total seasons and they still have 6 more combined seasons to go.... please go ahead and take CC and give him 6 years at 150-170... please

[/QUOTE]i didnt write a damn thing about the sox getting him! the lackey deal was beyond stupid... no arguing that. dice k was supposed to be the man.. hasnt worked. he has worked out better than the yanks signings of jaret wright and carl pavano!

i dont want CC on the sox unless its a great deal, but frankly at the end of the day.. its not my money. if they want to be stupid and overpay.. so be it. nothing extra is coming out of my pocket.

just dont get angry at me that he is going to hold your team hostage. :D

down with the evil empire! up with the rebel alliance! I'm sorry, did you just call the Red Sox the rebel alliance?! That's like calling Warren Buffett poor because he's worth slightly less than Bill Gates. The Red Sox's team salary is almost as much as the Royals, Rays, Pirates, and Padres COMBINED.

haha.. its true. we are no longer lovable losers.

you're right.. the royals, nationals, padres, and pirates are the rebel alliance and they are getting stomped on by Imperial Troopers every day.

(im sure my star wars reference is off.. so no need to bash me star wars uber geeks!).
