Drew Injury

Guys, if you are watching the replays of Stephen Drew's injury at home plate and the announcers say not to watch, DON'T. One of the worst I've seen.

Out of respect for Mr. Drew, I won't comment on whether the plate was properly blocked.

Posey gets rolled over and people complain that we should protect the catcher and slide. Drew slides has his ankle broken off and is also out for the season.

Looks like there is no real way to prevent an injury from a play at the plate.

Wow! I have (had as of Sunday) him on my Auction team. There were no plate blocking issues. As he went to tuck his leg for a feet first slide, it looks like the toe of his right shoe dug into the dirt. The slide looked in good form and there was very little contact with the catcher.

Just bad luck and ugly.

Interesting how little things affect other things in sports. Had Braun been 100 percent, he gets to the ball and the play never happened. Sucks he never really did get hot and now he leaves us after a rotten slump.
