Double digit HR's, SB's AND Outfield assists by 3 OF's on the same team in the same year? I find it pretty amazing!
So take a guess if you don't know yet....
Kansas City Royals OF
Alex Gordon 14 HR's 10 SB's 18 OF assists
Melky Cabrera 14 HR's 15 SB's 10 OF assists
Jeff Francoeur 15 HR's 18 SB's 12 OF assists
Has this ever happened? In the old days the assists and SB's would maybe happen but probably not the HR's.

I believe that 3 OF’s on the same team going 10+HR/ 10+SB’s has happened 49 times. The only other time that all 3 OF’s had 10+ Assist was the 1960 Giants.
Orlando Cepeda 24/15 w 37 Ast ( He had 10 as an OF and 27 as a 1B )
Willie Kirkland 21/12 w 16Ast
Willie Mays 29/25 w 11Ast
Orlando Cepeda 24/15 w 37 Ast ( He had 10 as an OF and 27 as a 1B )
Willie Kirkland 21/12 w 16Ast
Willie Mays 29/25 w 11Ast

Thanks Russell...I was thinking it had never happened before. Still looks pretty rare though!

Actually, there is a great website called Baseball-Reference. It allows you to do player searches based on different stats (ex 10hr/10sb).
You can also group searches by teams, position, or groups of players.
So I was able to search for Teams that had the most OF’s (50%+ of games played at OF) with 10/10. There were 49 teams that had 3 or more OF’s that had 10/10.
After I had the 49 groups of players, I went through each team individualy to look at their defensive stats (assist). This second part was somewhat time consuming, but since all my fantasy teams stink I would rather spend time looking at stats from 1960 than 2011.
There were plenty of teams that had 2 of the 3 players with 10+ assist, but only the 1 team (1960 Giants) that had all three. And even that one I had to verify because Orlando Cepeda played a lot of 1B that year.
In fact, now that I think about it; I verified that he had 10+ assist in the OF, but I didn’t verify that 10 of his 15 SB’s that year occurred while he was playing OF. I’ll have to try and look that up. I’ll just assume that at least 10 of his 24 HR’s came while playing in the OF.
