Playing till the end

Post by Babe Ruthless » Mon Sep 12, 2011 6:14 pm

Just wanted to say that I appreciate everyone who plays their team to the end of the regular season.

In one of the leagues that I am in, the guy who is dead last is still placing bids. That is super in my book.

On the other hand, in a couple of other leagues that I am in, there are owners who do not have a chance to finish in the top 3 and who apparently have abandoned their teams. This will probably affect the finish of the leagues. In one case, I will be helped me and in the other case hurt.

In both cases the owner is playing 2 or 3 injured players while healthy players having decent years are riding the pine.

You can say that again! Whoa...deja vu!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
