The NFBC just finished its 8th season and it's time to give credit to EVERY Main Event champion since 2004. As we all know, winning a 15-team Main Event title is not easy. In fact, it's EXTREMELY hard. So the first thing I want to do is publish a list of EVERY NFBC Main Event champion and then list our multiple Main Event champions.
Below is the list of all NFBC Champions from each city and each season to date. I'll compile the multi-league winners next and continue to update this each year going forward. We will have updated Lifetime Standings down the road and all of your Archived Teams will return this off-season, too. But until then, it's time to return as much of our historical data to the forefront as humanly possible.
Below is our list of NFBC Main Event League champions. CONGRATS to all:

It's interesting to note that through eight years -- which has included multiple draft dates these last two seasons -- we still have only THREE owners who have won as many as four NFBC League Titles and only SIX owners who have won as many as three NFBC League Titles. Even winning two league titles has proven to be very difficult.
Our two current NFBC Hall of Famers -- Stephen Jupinka and Shawn Childs -- are two of the three owners with four league titles. Both have been in the Main Event each year since 2004 and both are 4-for-10 in the win column. Mark Srebro won two titles in 2010 and has won four titles in the last five years. Great job all. The owners who have won three league titles include: Mike Cameron, David Deterra, Bob Mazur and Philip McDonald. Cameron, Deterra and McDonald each won their third league title this past season.
A total of 29 owners have won two league titles, including our newest NFBC Hall of Famer, Lindy Hinkelman. Lindy is the only owner to have also won two $100,000 grand prizes. Eight of these 29 owners added their second league title in 2011. Leonard Ringle is the only owner who won his first league title in 2004 and his last one in 2011, quite an accomplishment.
No owner has ever won three league titles in a row, although 17 different owners have had a shot at it. In 2012, three owners will have a shot at their third straight NFBC Main Event league title: Mike Cameron, David Deterra and Chris Plouffe. They've each won titles in 2010 and 2011, setting themselves up for a historic 2012 season.

NFBC Main Event Champions: 2004-11
Thanks for the research, Greg. You'll have to add Ron Spurgeon along with myself as co-managers. We first joined the NFBC in it's inaugural season while I was visiting him in Costa Rica and have managed teams together ever since.

Mike Yeah, I know Ron is the brains of this operation Mike!!
And I know those February trips to Costa Rica each year are the PERFECT training camp before the NFBC Drafts. But it's tough for me to keep track of every co-manager and I know many teams on that list have co-managers. They'll have to silently take their accolades in stride.
Good job to everyone on this list. If I missed anyone, let me know. I definitely did this by hand and going forward we should have a good list to add to. And I really look forward to the day the Lifetime Standings return because those are always a great source of pride.

Yeah, Ron and I figured 1.25 brains should always beat one. A strategy that we have done well with so far.

Re: NFBC Main Event Champions: 2004-11
Since I'm posting in the Welcome thread all of the latest arrivals to the NFBC, I thought it would also make sense to bump up this historical data of our Main Event league champions so that folks know who to fear!!
I like the history we have in the NFBC and I certainly want everyone else to enjoy it too. Now, watch out for the folks above.

Re: NFBC Main Event Champions: 2004-11
In just a little over 2 weeks, we'll be crowning several league champions in the NFBC Main Event, NFBC XII, NFBC Auction Leagues and other events. History will be made by some of our best owners unless something changes down the stretch. Good luck to all over these last 15-16 days.
Since I didn't want this thread to be lost forever, here are the past Main Event champions from 2004-11. Will we have a first ever 5 league titles by one of our owners? Will we have someone win two Main Event league titles in 2012? Take a look at the list above and we'll add to it in a couple of weeks.

Re: NFBC Main Event Champions: 2004-11
No owner has ever won three league titles in a row, although 17 different owners have had a shot at it. In 2012, three owners will have a shot at their third straight NFBC Main Event league title: Mike Cameron, David Deterra and Chris Plouffe. They've each won titles in 2010 and 2011, setting themselves up for a historic 2012 season.
Here's a look at our acclaimed list of NFBC multi-league champions:
NFBC Main Event Multi-Time League Champions:
4 NFBC League Titles:
Stephen Jupinka: 2004, 2005, 2008, 2010
Shawn Childs: 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009
Mark Srebro: 2007, 2008, 2010, 2010
I copied and pasted the above paragraph from this thread because I thought we might have one owner who could make history and win a third straight NFBC Main Event league title. But even though we have 2 weeks left in the season, that's not going to happen this year. I know Mike Cameron and Ron Spurgeon were battling hard for one, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
We may have history in the making with one owner capturing a fifth Main Event League title. He still has a little work to do, but this Hall of Famer has his team in the Top 10 overall and holding off 2 teams by 9.5 points. Good luck the rest of the way there Steve.
I'm looking forward to wrapping up this season and getting everyone's prize money to them. But tracking NFBC history is also a lot of fun and we'll quickly update the records once this season is done. Thanks all.
