I am possibly just venting in advance for when he returns and takes a guy Dave and I wanted.

It is a ton of data to shift through and people are sometimes running in and out making picks trying to speed things along while they may be working, in my case doing homework or putting your kids to bed or you get the point.
I have no issue giving him a mulligan but it is not my call.

Paul Molitor (3B) 1987.
Again, sorry guys. Thanks for the heads-up. Not sure what happened in my data download. Did all catchers with 20 games. Not sure, how he got into the data.

I have no issue giving him a mulligan but it is not my call. Perhaps fortunate his (likely) error was caught. If someone else had picked afterwards I am not sure a mulligan would work in that case.

I don't want to be an a####le , but this is a slow draft with 24 hours per pick. I only would be ok with this if there was no spot for this player on your roster. I always double check my picks for the right year and positions. This is what takes me 30 to 90 mins. for me to pick

Well, #$@!. Sorry, I did not see the debate before picking the player. I did not refresh. I would have never changed, if I thought there was an issue. Again my apologies. I am okay with whatever the ruling is. My error, my consequence.

Shawn's allowing the re-pick and will make his own pick shortly.

I will tell you that, I made the same mistake with my Carew pick and someone had already picked. I made both that pick and this one in an attempt to make the pick as soon as possible to keep the draft flowing. Again, my error and whatever the ruling is acceptable by me. Note, I clearly would not have made the pick if my data downlad from baseball-reference wasn't in error (likely a user error )

Hopefully Neal rewards us for our good deed and stays on around the turn so I get to pick again tonight.
Of course if Mark gets to pick again tonight, that would be OK too I guess.

Let me repost this: I'm glad this was resolved quickly and easily, but in moving forward, I think we need a firm policy on how to handle mistakes. I would like Shawn to issue a ruling on changing picks (for any reason) in order to avoid any future controversy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If someone else had picked, he would have been locked in with the player. Once the next player has been selected, you are stuck with whoever you drafted unless your roster can't handle that player. In that case he would have to repick and he can't take any players that were already taken after his pick. We don't want to be going back and changing picks.

BTW, for those that only check in once in a while, I’ve been keeping the draft updated here
All-Time Draft Results
I’m not always 100% up to date with it, but I try.
However, tomorrow is gonna be a bad day for me. I won’t be available until mid-late evening. I would really love to get one more pick in tonight, but I will send a couple of names to Dan in the morning.

I'm guessing their two picks were Molitor and Gonzales. They're pulling a Gekko and getting some beauty sleep by calling it a night in protest.
