Haha, I should have caught that one, since I was the guy who picked Kershaw.

37 hitters left to be picked- over 1/3 of them catchers ---13 or 14 depending on the Joe Torre season selected. His 1971 at 3b certainly worthy, but I think he was tabbed as a C. I see a few reasonably worthy candidates left, but 13?

25 pitchers left to pick. Might be a few guys w/ a struggle getting to 1500 IP? That's where having a guy like Big Ed sure comes in handy.

Yep, probably the 1996 Rockies with three, although the Galarraga owner might (unlikely, but possible) have opted for 1997 w/ a better BA?

Did you guys hear about Wilson Ramos getting kidnapped?

I stand corrected I guess he was taken from inside his home by four gun men at 6:45 tonight. As of now no contact has been reported from the abductors.

How in the hell can a stinkin' Met like Edgardo Alfonzo get chosen before the greatest 3B to play the game?

I don't want to open up another can of worms and initiate a long discussion, but I have a suggestion as to how we can announce the winner. Dan, Shawn and I have cyber-talked about this a little.

My idea revolves around the fact that at least most, hopefully all of us would like the time between the 23rd blind and the winner to be as short as possible, so there is a good chance we can all gather in one place. I have a chat room that also allows private chats so we can all hang out while Dan gets the blinds privately.

After my blind, Dan sends me the players and years BUT NOT THE OWNER through my blind and I add those to the tracker, without the owner. He then sends me the final 7 blinds and I complete the sheet.

We move over to this forum, likely a fresh thread.

We now have two options.

1. I send Dan the sheet and he fills in the team numbers, the standings automatically generate and Dan puts on a little show, publicly announcing the results from 15 to 1.

2. I upload the tracker to the server and anyone that wants to download it can. Dan then reveals the blinds, round by round. He will do round 5 first, all 15 teams at once, those so inclined can fill them in. I will post the standings. We then do rounds 10 and 16 in this manner. For the grand finale, Dan reveals the rounds 23 blinds one team at a time.

I suppose there is a third and that is Dan sends me all the info and I put on the show, which as it appears I will not be announcing myself, but still, there is no reason i should know first

Comments? I'm fine with Todd's plan and it seems like the group likes option two.

AVG 0.327 Nice! Part of my Alfonso plan was to get this guy next (if I were to have a spot left for him) - ha ha. Ugh. You foiled that plan. Should have done it in reverse probably.

WHIP 1.04 Nice pick. I do find it interesting that you seem to never list the saves for your relief pitchers. I have no doubt that this is intentional

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but something is wrong with your sheet Todd..

Just in the last 10 picks or so, I've noticed you shorted Jon S. a run on Willie Wilson, and on the last 4 pitchers taken you've given Brad 2 extra Wins, Yourself 2 extra Wins, Russel 3 extra Wins and Bruce 3 extra Wins..

I'd hate to have to go back through and check every individual player.

[/QUOTE]Okay, this is really weird. The sheet I copy/paste from has been accurate, but what has been pasted onto the tracker is not and I can't figure out why but no matter, I can easily fix it and figure out why later.

I'd hate to have to go back through and check every individual player. I can confirm Dave's post. I show the same differences. Not that I don't need a few extra wins.. ;)
