With Houston moving to the AL, does that mean the NL only auction will now be 12 teams with only 9 pitching slots?

Thankfully this question won't have to be answered until 2013. This is a question I think we'll need to answer together. Since the concept of Rotisserie auctions all the way back to 1980 were for stars and scrubs, I'm wondering if both AL and NL auctions shouldn't be 13 teams now with 10 pitching spots. What's better:

Both with 13 teams and 24 starting spots?

Both with 12 teams and 23 starting spots?

This won't go into effect until 2013, but now is as good a time to talk about it as any.

With both AL and NL now fifteen teams it should be the same for both auction leagues

I think "standard" 14 and 9 should be the active players

I think this is the perfect time to add a 24th player and make it a 2nd UT, but allow either a pitcher or a hitter for this spot. Some leagues already do this and some commish services already handle it so it is not a unique idea, but one which has serious merit.

As for 12 teams versus 13, adding the extra spot would sort of force it to be 12.

[/QUOTE]I like 12. The player pool is so thin it will add some depth.

Agree with Shawn on 12 teams for both AL and NL single leagues
