Good afternoon gentleman, sorry I was missing all day. I was at the car dealer having some work done. A three hour job turned into just over five hours.
GEKKO gave me the news that I had the first pick. This is the first time since I’ve been in the NFBC that I actually got the number 1 spot in the draft.
In the first All-Time draft, I had pick 9. With that pick I took 1965 Sandy Koufax, passing on 1968 Bob Gibson. So now with the number one pick in this draft, I could take either one of the two again. I provided a detailed review of my first four picks to the last draft here. Navel Lint Review. I explained why I took Koufax.
I really thought long about taking Sandy again here with the first pick but decided to go with Gibson, let’s see how it works out this time. Although I do feel somewhat relieved to see that Koufax went #2.
1968 Bob Gibson
W-22
S-0
ERA-1.12
WHiP- 0.853
K-268
P.S. I’m now against the idea of 3RR.
