Glenn I am kind of surprised you didn't grab Seaver with your pick, but the Maddux year was a little better. I was counting on Maddux being gone by the time the pick got back to me and was praying that Seaver was still available. Believe me, I was tempted to grab Seaver. I had a whole array of pics ready highlighting his rookie of the year season, his World Championship, his Cy Youngs, his return to the Shea, his HOF induction (still the highest percentage in history.....by FAR), and on and on and on. It would have been a photo montage for the ages.
But alas, Maddux worked better with McLain that the Franchise did. Sighhhhhhhh.
Maybe next draft.
Still, because I know you guys want this so bad, I'll give you one more picture of the Greatest Pitcher in the History of the Universe along with some of his partners in greatness back during the Greatest Season in the History of the Universe.
I actually have my own autographed copy of this picture hanging on my wall downstairs.

It's funny, we're 29 picks into a draft with a player pool ranging 71 years and Srebro is already declaring doom and gloom shortages. I, for one, am now panicking. Thanks for the warning, now I'll go download some pitching stats.
Other than missing this pitching run, any other feedback or a list of possible strategies I should consider would be appreciated.
Thanks.

People really seem to be drawing lines early in this draft…..Hitting or Pitching. I’m gonna split the middle. I already have the ERA pace setter of the draft with Bob Gibson, now I’m taking my hitter. My pick has the fourth highest average still available in this draft, but his HR’s/R’s/RBI far exceed the three above him.
This guy is one of the ten best hitters in the history of the game. He had 475 homers which was 6th on the all-time list when he retired. He is still fourth on the all-time hit list with 3630 and sixth on the RBI list.
He was a 24 time Allstar, won the MVP three times and finished second 4 more times.
I present the one and only…
Stan the Man
1948 Stan Musial
HR-39
R-135
RBI-131
SB-7
BA-.376
