How come I can't make FA pick up even though it is not yet 7?

Same here. Don't know if this would be complicated, but can Stats add some type of clock so everyone knows when 6:00 strikes by their system?

Hit That's what happened to me. I didn't notice you couldn't make any more bids, and I wanted to change my first choice lower and make one of my conditionals the top pick. Only way to do that is to cancel the entire list. So I did, and I got doinked. Oh well. If not getting my guy costs me a Ron Darling autographed photo, someone is gonna get a nasty email.

Dyv, I'm only kidding, mind you. If people were locked out, this would be a serious issue. I'd like to know exactly what happened.

It only mattered for me in my AL league - I tried to enter a request at 6:52.. wouldn't accept it. I flipped over to the rules, called the number listed and got an answering machine... I emailed Greg then I posted on the board about the problem and it registered for 7:01. Shame we can't get this to work better..
What can ya do? I had most of my entries set from earlier today, but someone caught my eye at the last minute and I wanted to toss in a waiver on him.
Presumably someone will have an explanation.
And I hope it's not 'it broke'
lol

Probably something like, there was a bug in the system that STATS has since worked out. They assured us it wouldn't happen going forward.

Am I out of line wondering why we didn't just set these leagues up on Yahoo or something? I'm not worried about things showing right each day or if I can't see my standings until 7am when I want to see them at 5 am... heck, that's garbage. But the FA process not working is potentially consequential. Greg has a time stamped email in his inbox now from before the trade deadline. Do I potentially get that transaction now? If I do, will Walla Walla allege that Greg is cheating because I'm "important"? If I don't - is it because I didn't try hard enough or do it early enough?
Tune in later tonight or by tomorrow when Greg makes his next big decision
Dave
p.s. I did drop Jolbert Cabrera today... friggin' chimp

On that note, with the WCOFB debacle, I am not entering the WCOFF this year. Poor management and customer service. Actually it's worse than poor.

[/QB]They are far better at football than baseball, but I'm going NFFC this year as well - Greg clearly has the best product going. The goodie bags are worth a good chunk of the entry fee and I can't stand being forced to pay a damn events fee with an outrageously priced hotel room.
You have to factor in the events fee when you look at prize money, not just the posted 'entrance fee' - cash outlay is cash outlay no matter what you call it.
Greg - get your footall draft filled up here so we can toss in a last minute basketball and hockey league to draft the Sunday after our Satudray draft. Might as well do all 4 sports in one year - be the man

I hate to say I'm looking into it, but I'm looking into it. The deadline remains 7:00 EST and not a minute before or after. There should be no reason for a time miscalculation. I know that Jim and Mike were in the office at STATS during the FAAB process tonight and they have told me they can track every move that was made up to the deadline. I have two NFBC people who e-mailed me their moves prior to 7 p.m. EST and yes, one of them was Dyv. I'll have to hook up with STATS first thing tomorrow and make sure every pickup that has been announced tonight is legit.
Sorry for the confusion as I was ready for an early night's snooze. We should have a record of all the moves and make this right, so hang tight. But 7 p.m. EST is the deadline and all bids entered in the system before that should be calculated.

Dyv, we'll get that football event filled up as I think there's a lot of interest in New York and Chicago, even from veteran high stakes guys who no longer want to pay the extra fee and travel for a trip to Vegas. I think we'll have good success with football.
I'm watching the NBA playoffs just to acquaint myself again with those roundball players. Not sure that will lead to a high stakes basketball event, but if there's enough interest you never know. As for a high stakes fantasy hockey event, even I can't tell the players with a scorecard. You're looking at the wrong cheesehead for that one!

Just to let everyone know what happened on Sunday night: For some reason the time on the STATS server was four minutes fast and thus it looks like FAAB bids were run at 6:56 p.m. EST. There were a couple of people who called in their bids before 7 p.m. on my Krause line, not the STATS 800-line, and we are assessing those bids now. Sorry for the confusion, but we'll get this resolved soon.

What number should I have called?

That is the right number. You did right and you did right by e-mailing your picks in by 6:58 p.m. There is written proof you were making your bids before our 7 p.m. EST deadline. I have no idea why we suddenly jumped four minutes early this week in FAAB.
