draft order question and league info

From reading an earlier thread I realize the draft order is randomly selected by trustworthy souls, but when do we find out the draft order?

And when do we find out the league we're in? Will some leagues contain teams from different cities?

I would guess somewhere around March 10-12 if you want some speculation. Somewhere in that same timeframe we'll find out draft order. Possibly at the same time.

There is a chance that Greg might have to mash together one league for combination cities, but he doesn't want to.

Once we have stopped taking signups, we'll randomly pick the leagues in each city. The names for each city will be separate from each other. If somehow we have partial signups in cities, we'll combine two cities to form one league with those final signups if need be, but I'll do what I can to avoid that.

At the very latest, all leagues and draft positions will be announced on Monday, March 14th. That's a guarantee. But I wouldn't be surprised if we do it before then.

Thanks for the quick reply. A week before sounds reasonable to me. I've been in auction leagues exclusively for many years, but this is my first draft league. Since it's my first I find myself wanting to know the draft order now, but as someone wrote earlier, if your prepared, it shouldn't matter. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it.
